I have raised beds, and they've been thawed for a while now- though I may be getting ahead of myself!! This is my first year of starting from seed, and I think it just feels like I'm planting late because I would have certainly planted my seeds by now had I started cole crops outside. I have to keep reminding myself that when I plant these seedlings out, they will be well on the way to growing large! It was so cold yesterday, and there is SNOW today, so I haven't continued my hardening off schedule- they have been inside the last two days. When I resume, can I go back to the number of hours I left off at last (8 hours out), or do I have to start at square one again?

thanks linley1 and rmanbike for your responses. I ordered the furniture at Foremost Furiture in NYC. I hope the delay is not because of a problem with the store not paying the manufacturer timely. Although I really like my salesperson and she helped me pick out wonderful furniture and fabrics I would be very hesitant to buy from them again if that was the case. I also ordered a dining room set which will be delivered Thursday which has taken 6 months but a set of upholstered hostess chairs from a different manufacturer for the dining room shich was ordered at the same time is not in and I was just told on Monday- 6 mnths later- that the chair is discontinued and I have to order another set of chairs. I don't know if I should take delivery of the table and side chairs or wait until I have picked out new hostess chairs to make sure I can still get the same fabric. The side chair fabric was picked out to match the hostess chair fabric which is really the focal point of the room. They go together and one does not work without the other. I don't know what to do. I am waiting for the salesperson to talk to her boss and get back to me. This is a mess. Thanks for the information. I will keep you posted and wish me luck.

I ordered all my appliances from Lowe's, and had delivery in April. You probably didn't see my post back them, but the delivery was 2hrs early, they got my shiny new fridge stuck in the front door, and never left the range cord. The manager actually drove down himself to deliver the cord that evening. I don't know about your Lowe's, but ours in this area uses a contracted delivery service. What a headache for you. I hope they can make it up to you in some way.

Well, here we sit again....cabinets delayed another week. Have e-mailed Lowe's store manager on 2 weeks ago, again 3 days later re-forwarded the e-mail saying I thought he may have missed it over the 4th holiday and then again one week ago. ZERO RESPONSE. Z-E-R-O! Can't believe how unprofessional this is! I get it people are busy but to just not respond to a customer who has spent $30,000 in your store! And my contract said all work would be done by early April! It is now mid-July and this part of the installation MAYBE will be complete next week, then after countertops are installed (another company) there has to be more measuring for some decorative panels that they suggested we don't measure for until after countertops are in. After a call to Lowe's corporate in which they "escalate" the situation and said the store manager will get this "Urgent Customer Care" email and he must respond within 24 hours....still NO response! UNBELIEVABLE! So have put in another call to Customer Service and now they escalate to the District Manager and I am supposed to hear from him within 24 hours. And by the way, Lowe's Credit Card (Synchrony) said that it just takes a call from a Store Manager and they can push this final payment out and extend the promo (6 months same as cash) on out beyond the original 6 months. I have pretty much done EVERYTHING else myself since I placed the order with no communication from their "install manager" or kitchen designer. I communicate with the installer directly now since the install manager also can't seem to return a phone call or place or follow up on the incorrect orders that keep getting placed. I communicate directly with Schuler (their Customer Service has been phenomenal!) to correct orders that are placed incorrectly---even after going over it several times and putting it in e-mails. Cabinets ordered the wrong size by and inch (at least 5 times), finished ends ordered on the wrong side of the cabinet, etc. Hopefully there is a district manager who can straighten this out and get these people to get this project finished!
