I'm a really big fan of a lot of Paula's recipes but I have gotten to the point that I just can't watch her shows because of some of the disgusting things she does. In addition to all of the licking and running her fingers through bowls, I can't stand it when she is around any man that's a guest on her show. She's all over them, acting like a 16 year old and making very suggestive comments. Some of her shows should be X rated...lol

My sugar cream pie recipe is similar, but I use Milnot or evaporated milk and I also cook the filling in the microwave until thick, stirring and then add my vanilla to it when done. When it is thick pour it into a baked pie shell. Either put the butter in the pudding part or in pieces on top and I sprinkle it with nutmeg. Then bake in a hot oven just long enough to let the pie filling bubble and become lightly brown. Sugar Cream pie is Indiana's state pie. Sue

I hope you enjoyed your trip Glenda. I'm sorry that you didn't enjoy Paula Deens. I've never eaten there myself, but from watching her show I know how much butter she uses! Uhhh....As a southern cook, I promise not all of us cooks that way! If I may, what other restaurant did ya'll eat at? I don't get to Savannah very much, even though I live much closer than you do. I live about 45 minutes from there, but I only take the kids to the doctor in Savannah. If I can help it I avoid going, it's always so busy and crowded! I do hope you enjoyed the city though, it is a beautiful place to visit. Jessie
