Major life trauma/change/relocation. Finally here IN MASSACHUSETTS!!!

For a while, I will be staying with my wonderful SBSIL (should be sister-in-law..they've been dating for TEN YEARS)and her family, and when I cook I'll be cooking for teenage/young adult kids and adults not accustomed to all the ethnic foods I cook so much of. I will introduce a few new things here and there, but don't want to take over the kitchen!

One kid won't do tomatoes (except in sauces) and my SBSIL is allergic to mushrooms :( ...spicy hot food doesn't go down well :( :(

The oven is temporarily on the fritz as well, so I need stove top meals that are interesting enough for me but not too unfamiliar for them. Low carbs (or carbs as a side so portion control is easier) are good too as my SBSIL has diabetes.

Chicken, beef, pork & most vegetables are fine, I'm not sure about lamb yet...seafood is iffy (kids like it, SBSIL not so much.)
