First off a model number would help 1. Gas is filling your cylinder making it hard to start 2. You probably have a stuck float needle in your carburetor 3. Smell the dipstick. If you smell gas, replace it 4.You need to fix the leaking gas problem. Your needle is stuck open, allowing gas to overflow your carb and exit into the cylinder and out of your air filter. I always rebuild/replace the carb whenever i get one that leaks. There not worth the trouble of messing with imo. Honda carbs are usually cheaper than rebuild kits, so i might go with a new one (seeing as you had difficulty starting before". 5. Replace/rebuild carb. pull spark plug and let dry. While plug is out pull starter cord over a couple times, this will purge any gas in the cylinder. Replace plug and you should be running good.. If you smell gas in the oil just replace, its cheap and needs done yearly anyway

This happens occaisionally to us on our Kitchen Aid cooktop (old). It's almost always because water has gotten down to the electronics below the cooktop. Unplugging, and letting it dry out (a day or 2?), then replugging it in seems to work every time. Without igniters, we resort to matches.

If the line is Schedule 40 black steel, you're close to the end of its' service life in acidic soil. Schedule 80 would last past your lifetime (assuming you are a grandma). It's likely Sch.40. Your choices would be excavate, hydrostatic the line, if it passes, coat with a good pipeline product. Option 2 would be excavate and replace with new non-metallic products available. I hesitate to give specifics as this is the gas company's call with your local authorities acting as flies in the ointment.

We have one that we have had for years,a nd love it. You should be able to Goggle Blue Flame and get a manual if they are still in business. I will look when I have a chance to see if I still have whatever came with ours.
