Thanks for taking so much trouble, palimpsest. Yes, a slimmer fridge would be a good idea, but the options hereabouts aren't great--Summit doesn't have any local dealers, for example. To be honest, I think the main reason she's considering a less than 30" oven is that she fell in love with this one (well, actually with its new replacement but I couldn't find that one on the ikea website). If you read the description, it's got an awful lot of features: Wow, I didn't like the overall space much in my kitchen when I lived back there, but I would have really hated a 6'7"" ceiling. Where I live now the bath ceilings are 7 ft and those bother me enough. :) Thanks again for your help. Someone over at ikeafans suggested using one of the other Blum drawers for those top drawers so that the hardware wouldn't be in the way, and that's something else I need to investigate. jewel, I'm glad that you had a successful recovery. The NIH page I linked summarizes the findings of formal studies, what is and isn't known. In this particular case, it suggests that evidence of effectiveness is inadequate or lacking. With your experience and that of others, there's no way to know what might have happened to you without ingesting this substance. Would your healing have been the same? Would it have been quicker? Was there some effect from the tea you normally drink? You see what I mean, all the extraneous factors are properly managed in studies so that results are focused and understandable. The experience of one or even several people isn't useful. I'm happy for you, but I find an NIH assessment of "no demonstrated benefit" more persuasive. And unsurprising, the real stories for so many supplements people recommend are similar.

No Graywings and Hot Rod, you're not missing anything. I failed to give an explanation of the exact problem. And, actually...I don't know what's causing it so it makes an explanation difficult. Yes...they have cells phones but the audible reception between there and here is difficult, at best, and I simply can't hear enough of the pieces of conversation that do manage to come through to understand what they're saying. I don't know if it's their ISP Wifi or mine but I rather suspect it's theirs. I don't have the problem with other cell phone callers although I have to admit that I don't often have such conversations. We've tried landline to cell phone several times over these last few years and invariably, a call placed to...and answered by...their cell phone had to be be continued landline to landline to be successful. It's very frustrating but because we could always communicate landline to landline or via email...it didn't become such an issue until now that they've discontinued landline usage and I have a need-to- know how he's fairing through his battle with CV-19. I cringe when I see the words "foundation beds" because it implies plants planted right next to the foundation- don't do that! Your plants need to be away from the house for many reasons- to get out from under any eaves/all the rainfall, to deter pests traveling, to be able to access the entire structure for painting and window washing, etc. So pull the "bed" out away from the house and use lots of sweeping curves when you do it- no straight lines or corners. Can't wait to see photos!
