Thanks for all the wonderful Happy Birthday messages. You have all made my day. I can see some of you know how much I love flowers... Kathleen, I know you didn't realize it but that song sung by Pink is one of my favorites. It really gets me in the mood... not saying for what. Sol, Nancy of the North was so excited to see that menu. She was having "Chunk of Skunk" for dinner tonight! Can definately relate to "smear of deer", since one of our cars is waiting on parts right now. Pam....think Northern Michigan instead of New Mexico......hehe. Betcha didn't think I'd catch that. Well, I've had a great Birthday! Didn't end up going out tonight, Kim really did want to make dinner for me. I picked a simple menu of some of my favorites. I'll post dinner on the WFD thread. We have been planning on a little shopping as Annie suggested and along with that a get out of town... but the weather might not cooperate. Guess we have to wait and see. Nancy

Thanks again for all the birthday wishes. I had a really nice day. My birthday dinner was a joint effort, Kim made great salads (I made the dressing), then we had lobster, scallops and shrimp in a wine sauce over angel hair pasta. Instead of a cake, I made cream filled chocolate cupcakes with chocolate icing and even put white loops on top. I am thankful for all the good in my life. Nancy

Thanks everyone! I spent my B-day at a breakfast shower for my niece in western Massachusetts (Yeah, won a door prize and the centerpiece). After the shower we went back to mom's house for visiting with family. I don't get to see them all as much as I would like so it was a great afternoon for me. They had cake and ice cream and sang the most awful off key, slow rendition of Happy Birthday any one has ever heard! It is tradition in our family to sing badly. LOL. We headed back to Maine late afternoon to try and beat out the rain storm. No luck...heavy rain and fog just about all the way home. Going to try and go out for dinner this weekend. Wayne had made reservations for a birthday dinner at a new restaurant we have been trying to get to but I got sick last Friday so we canceled. Thanks for the good wishes, NancyLouise

Thank you for all the birthday wishes!

I'm home today, getting ready for company tonight. The lobster dinner that was planned for two weeks ago (Valentine's Day) didn't happen as planned because an East Coast storm prevented the lobsters from getting shipped. We still had a nice dinner, Seafood Lasagna, and set tonight as the date to try to do lobster again...

The lobster's arrived yesterday, the same friends are coming over tonight and it's working out really fun to do this on my birthday. I'll try to take some pictures and do a post tomorrow. Kim had a special cake made for me that looks wonderful. This is more fun than going out as far as I'm concerned.

Sorry I missed your birthday, but I was not on the computer last week-end - I was having lobster in your honor! I hope your own lobster dinner went well, and I do believe that it is much better to have your lobster at home rather than at a restaurant. I'm only cooking it at home from now on.
