My Bake Day...or two

I was in the mood to bake yesterday.

I wanted to make several new recipes but yet I wanted to make some I've been craving.

First is a new recipe, from my friend Linda (Ohiomom), English Muffin Bread and it is delicious! I think I like the EM bread better then my English Muffins! I baked it last night and by noon today, it was gone!

I had a craving for a recipe, Cinna Bites, from the new King Arthur Catalog, but wanted to make Lou's Bread Braid. So I cut Lou's recipe in half and make the Cinna Bites and it is just so good and so fun to make. And Lou's bread was delicious and perfect for the Cinna Bites!

Boy Lou does this bread rise or what!!! My goodness, I've not had bread rise like that in years.

Since I gave all my Cheddar Thumbprints away in my Christmas Cookie Baskets, I whipped up another batch.

I wanted to make some cakelettes this week. But I also wanted to try Emily's Hot Milk Cake. Then I saw Marigene's Cakelettes that she posted on the WFD......

Well, I combined all three, my craving, Emily's Cake and Marigene's idea, served with my Mom's Ganache Sauce which you could eat all alone!

Joe has been complaining out all the pork taking up space in the freezer. So today I made 5 lbs of Mild Italian Sausage and 5 lbs of French Garlic Sausage. Here are the patties, frozen double-decker style. So now instead of pork butts in the freezer we have pork sausage. But it takes up less room, so Joe is happy.

And the puppies, well they stayed close by, yet out of the way and watched my every move!

Whew...I'm bushed but it sure was nice seeing all my goodies first thing this morning and before my coffee too!!
