Memorex tv has no power

I have a memorex tv model MT1191A and while I was watching it, it turned off. Now it is completely dead and has no power. Does anyone know what could be the problem or how to fix?

The problem could be a number of things.

This is like saying "I had a wreck in my car, how much will it cost to fix it?".

If you are unable to remove the back and check the line fuse, then you should take it to a tv shop.

Have a philips 32 inch TV that only flashes the power led four times when trying to turn it on? Mod TP3285 C121. Built april 2001 and has few hours on it. What does that four flashes error code tell me. How can I fix it. Briefly looked at the mother board and looked fine in a hurried look, will inspect closer in the future. Help, all advise taken. Thanks, Curt... Hate to make a boat anchor out of it!!!

I have an RCA Model # 27MS3404/17 and there is a high pitched sound...I unplugged it and waited a couple of mintues to plug it in. When I did the noise came back and the TV wouldnt power on, nothing happened. I tried powering it on a couple of days ago and the noise came back on.I tried to power it on but nothing happened....Can anyone help me with this....

Well....look on the back of the set. The model and chassis number will be on the back. You certainly won't find it on a website. What do you mean that the set can only be "put on standby". If the picture and sound turn off when you press "power button" on the set or the remote, it is working properly. ALL TELEVISON sets (that have a remote) have a stand-by power supply. Which is waiting for a signal to turn on the main power supply, which in turn makes the picture and sound. pw
