I'd never heard of the Fratelli, but I just looked up their web site. Very nice looking, too bad it's only available, in gas. I just went and looked at a Viking all electric, certainly not as pretty, but would suit my need for a colorful range. DH thought it was too small, only 30". Bottom line is that we both love the traditional AGA, but it doesn't make sense for us. We may end up with the Legacy, although I find it to be light weight for the price it costs. I'd buy the 6/4 in a minute if it were all electric. At this rate I should just put in propane and get whatever range we want.

In CA, it's against the law to dispose of medical sharps in the garbage. I hadn't thought about other types of sharps though. Talley Sue, I love your idea for a smaller container for sharps. I had a kidney disease cat for a number of years and used IV needles with her. They didn't accumulate very fast, so when I used even a small detergent bottle, it took up so much unnecessary space. Eventually I settled on using instant coffee containers with the pop-up lids. Caroline, if it's okay to discard them in the trash where you are, I don't know if it would be worthwhile to label them, but you could always do what I was told to do here for the hazardous waste people, which was to wrap the container with masking tape so it would be hard to open, and then label it with a red pen saying "medical sharps." When we use to turn in our cat's sharps at the local waste place, I was careful to label the container so there was no question what it was. Later, they made it so you had to put your container of sharps in the burn barrel yourself- I noticed that the choice of most people seems to be those plastic containers that foldgers ground coffee comes in- probably because of the size and red color. Either way, I was told to use opaque plastic because it's thicker than clear, and less likely that a sharp would work its way through.

The housing market does not justify a total remodel, in our locale, which was our initial plan. Here's a summary of what we used: Dishwasher - Bosch, Whisper Quiet Refrigerator - Jenn-Air, Side-by-Side, cabinet depth Range - Jenn-Air, natural gas, slide in 4-burner with single oven plus warming drawer Sink - Soci, 16 x 28 x 10 undermounted, 15 guage Faucet - Blanco Disposal - KitchenAid, 1HP Granite - Cathedral Brown. We continued it onto the window sill and a new top for the side table. Backsplash - 4 x 4 stainless tile Paint - Cabinets: Cabinet Coat, White, semi-gloss. Walls: C2, Shaker and Fusion - both in Eggshell finish. Accent wall: SW Poinsettia From appliance shopping to completion of room painting took 37 days. We handled all the painting DIY. Because we had been considering a remodel or facelift for so long, decisions were fairly easy and we caught the granite fabricator in a slow time so the counters were installed in only 11 days. Hi guys As per usual, we got off track w/ the fencing to put yet another fire out. We haven't done anything about our fencing except to write to you here on gardenweb. We have our mtg in front of the zoning board in 2 weeks for our home-based swim lesson business so we've been frantic about making sure we are all set for that. I did just get a letter today from our town's building inspector informing us that we never got our final inspection done for the pool build and that if not done in the next 15 days there would be some sort of hell to pay. Our installation of the enclosure isn't 100% done yet so I didn't think we were even on the radar for final inspection. Can we pass inspection w/ our orange temporary construction fence?? We can't put the permanent fence up yet until we get our answer from the zoning board; if we get a yes, we need to connect our enclosure to the house by way of a vestibule to make it truly an in-home business. If not, the two structures stay separated. Our fencing needs will depend on the board's answer. Aye yi yi... Joanne
