Watching Satellite TV suddenly we have no sound. I turn off the TV (it had been on for only 10 mins prior) and turn it back on, and we get nothing, the Power LED is not on, though I can hear the DVD and VCR self testing starting etc. I came back later and turned the TV on, same thing no picture nor Power LED but still hear the DVD and VCR, I press play on the DVD and I hear it spin up but nothing else I just left the room (in disgust) 2 hours later we hear noise! It is from the DVD I pushed play on, we have TV pic and DVD sound. I turn to the TV (which has a Satellite TV feed) and now we get picture but no sound still.

So the result is we have a combo TV, we get sound from the peripherals but not from the TV, does anyone have any ideas?

PS i fixed my Sanyo which had sound and a greay screen with wavy lines from advice here so I appreciate this forum very much!
