Two blooms and a new toy!!
Comments (14)Thanks, and trust me I am having an absolutely blast with this camera!!! I even 'caught' my neighbor in my yard when I was not home!!!! This camera is a Brinno Gardenwatch cam you can just goggle Brinno and it will come up. I guess it was a Martha Stewart pick this past spring, and there is a video from her show on Brinno's website, which pretty much explains the camera. It is weather proof and it can run for months on end. It uses 4 AA batteries. I am still messing around with the movies that are saved on my computer, you can pause it at different frames, it has a clock and it runs down the time of each picture that is taken. The only thing that is a little bit troublesome is that when you set it up, at least when I set it up, I can't always be sure what the lens is capturing, so I am running very short trial runs, marking the spot and noted the angle of the camera, then looking at what was taken. I then can adjust it to what I want to see, and then let it run for the day. I have spots marked in my garden that are good view and angles to use. I don't know how much 'space' it takes up in the computer, but I already have at least 10 daylong movies in the movie file. You can empty the flash drive when you download the pictures to your computer. I can't wait till spring, cause I plan on leaving it set up for a few months in order to capture the spring bulbs coming up and blooming. Yes, my son is way cool!!!!! Comments (7)Agmss - This is a good beginner smoothie and the first one I started with I found it on a recipe runner. 1/2 cup unsweetened almond milk (or milk of choice) 1/4 cup plain non fat Greek yogurt 2 cups fresh baby spinach 1/2 cup fresh or frozen strawberries 1 frozen banana, broken into chunks 1/2 T. honey 1/4 t. vanilla extract 1/2 cup of ice Then my new current favorite smoothie that my SIL introduced me to. I don't have a recipe so I just kind of wing it but its - 1/2 frozen banana approx 1/2 cup of unsweetened almond milk 1/4 of an avocado two good size handfuls of spinach a tsp of peanut butter cinnamon approx 1/4 tsp and sweetener of choice honey, stevia, a date, sugar, whatever you like to use best. Adjust sweetener amount to your own taste. I usually just give a good size squeeze of the honey and its enough especially with the banana. You can also adjust the amount of liquid if you like a thinner or thicker smoothie. Just always add the liquid first in the blender than the rest of the ingredients. I generally like to eat my greens too but I have to say as a quick breakfast I can drink on my way to work I really enjoy them. I sometimes make them as a sweet treat at night too....See MoreNew Toy
Comments (4)Very nice! What are the KA changes you like? I have a 1984 Cuisinart so I have to be ready to act in an emergency! I've been reading old Gourmets and it's a hoot to see my processor among the ads with all those scary '80's hairstyles....See MoreMy New Toy
Comments (8)I purchased 8.5x11 photo paper so I can print photos. I have colored construction paper for printing cute cards. Business cards and return address labels. Get a 3-hole punch for printing recipes & putting in a binder. Now don't forget to go on Ebay and buy extra ink cartridges for this thing. Have fun with it! And yes....an mp3 player is sooooooooooo worth it. The black Friday sales should provide one for about $10, 2mp. You can download lots of free music on the internet......See Morelowspark
