Caroline, I'm still trying to decide which end of the camera to point, so many of you take such fabulous photos and mine are mostly crappy, someday, sigh..... Cameron, pasta sauces are your specialty you say, DH loves pasta, I make a very simple meat sauce for spaghetti which DH likes, do you have a favorite sauce recipe that you would be willing to part with? I'm trying to build up brownie points with DH, come spring this old girl leaves the kitchen for the garden and I'm afraid my stove and I part company for awhile LOL. The severe draught you are having was on our news last night, my heart goes out to all of you. Up here it's stormy and pouring buckets, they say it's one of many storms that will be heading our way. Some communities have had to deal with flooding issues from torrential downpours already, and it's not over yet. Instead of getting on my nerves which it usually does, it's just making me feel so sad, all this excess rain could be such a blessing if it would only fall where it's so badly needed. Iris, I can't imagine why they would test done, but not be done. I've used the disposable foil-type pans and I did have a problem with them baking unevenly, but they were overdone, not underbaked. As LindaC conjectures, I can only think that putting them on a baking sheet may have compromised the baking process. Sorry about the bread, though, that is such a waste of time and ingredients when that happens, plus you have to do something else in place of them as a gift. (sigh) Annie

LOL, mxyplux, I was thinking it would be banana/date bread with peanut butter. Yeah....I was wrong. I'd still eat that, though, if I could skip the banana.... Annie

It was probably not THAT healthy, LOL! I see this calls for less oil and uses yogurt. My favorite banana bread recipe also calls for yogurt. Maybe that makes it less caloric. The one I liked was very dark in color. In searching online, I see that lots of recipes are light in color. I don't know what makes one recipe dark and another light. I was thinking the spices, but they all have spices.
