How to freeze apple pie.

I have a bunch of 20 ounce apples (the only kind I will use for pie) and I want to make three pies to use them before they are too old. I will sweeten with Splenda. Should I freeze them unbaked or baked? If I freeze unbaked, how do I cook them? Thaw, then freeze? Cook frozen? Do I adjust the cooking time? I normally bake at 425 degrees. Twenty ounce apples (I think they are actually Pippin) are not very crisp so I bake them for a shorter time than the cook book recommends. As soon as the crust is fully browned I remove them from the oven.

Thanks,

Nancy
