Are you sure you didn't move the pics? I think that happened to you once before with the baby pics.

nope this time no pics moved...and the thread is GONE !! Someone on Kitchens took it off...must have asked for it to be removed. First the pics then the thread. If you search for the thread it comes up with the title and then says " sorry the thread you are looking for >>>>" so it is gone...very odd. c

Maybe someone had second thoughts about posting a personal photo and GW decided it best to remove the whole thing? I don't know. Did you ask the same question over there?

I saw it there earlier today and loved the pics all over again. Maybe they are trying to discourage people from posting personal, non-kitchen reno pics. Maybe next would be someone's cat wearing a toque.

Ya never know. Many years ago I was banned from GW because of a misspelling -- back in the days when you were sent to Disney! I think I spelled the word duck with an f instead of a d. I had to change my email address to get back in. I still cannot use my main email here to this day!

haha ded...maybe I misspelled chef LOL !! I don't see how posting a personal pic could matter...everyone does it including pics of their small children in the kitchen while the remodel is going on and also all the pics of cats and dogs for goodness sake.

Could you send an e-mail to the admins asking what happened? It would be nice to know if there's something that they want you to avoid.

My original thread on Decorating is still here w/o pics. BUT...the original thread on Kitchens and the one I posted an hour ago as to " where did my thread go ?" are both gone. They removed my query thread almost instantly it looks like. I have no idea what the h$%^ is going on.
AND I DID NOT remove any pics from photobucket or move them or anything else. It is ALL GW.

Looks like they moved your thread on Kitchens to the Conversation page. Have you contacted GW?

yes the "where did the thread go " is on conversation...BUT the other thread the original " would you like one of these in your kitchen ?" is gone. And they removed the pics from the thread here on this forum. Oh well...I don't care..it made a lot of folks smile which is what I was hoping for...we all need a smile :)

Trailrunner .... I have read (and I am technically challenged) that pics taken with digital cameras/phones have a GPS tracking system on them .... just wondering IF someone thought it might be dangerous/not wise to post pics of your so cute grandson, given the fact, someone *might* be able to figure out his location.

He sure is a cutie .... loved the pics .... and this is *just* a thought on why they might have pulled your thread.

Another techno-challenged GW'er here! I just tried to open your link on your Member's page, and photobucket says it's a private album. I remember looking at the album when I suggested we all include links in our member info. Sorry I missed the cutie-pie!

But many here take pics with their phones. Only the gw police can remove the pics, right? So why not remove the whole thread too?

I noticed this past year a certain poster will tell someone that their topic is better suited for the discussion page even though it was talking about decorating which I found to be very rude. Not that much off topic so I kind of wondered about them and if they were one of the monitors.

Here's a thought. Maybe it's your computer doing it? My old computer had a really bad virus and a couple of times I'd do a topic here and it would show up on the decor side.

When it happened, I got an email notice basically saying I'd be going bye-bye if it happened again!

Oakley, there seem to be a number of self-appointed forum police on a few forums here. This one and Cooking immediately come to mind. I find the behavior irritating and petty, but I'm sure the people who complain feel totally justified.

Oakley, I wonder why in the world anyone would care that you posted on the "wrong" side of the boards? That's someone with too much time on their hands! You'd have to say goodbye if you did it again? That makes sense. It is SO rude to make an error (I know, your computer was responsible) & you should be punished. Lame.

Ok...my problem is sorta solved. I got a letter from GW. They removed all the threads...there were 2 ,because there weren't any pics showing anymore !! Haha...so how did the pics get taken off ??? I have no clue. They are in the same place in my photobucket album now as they were to start. They also moved my "where did the thread go " to convo kitchen side where it was deemed more appropriate...huh . So if I knew how the pics s__l__o__w__l__y were removed , cause it didn't happen all at once...then I would know more. Guess it will remain a mystery. But I was told that if a thread has the pics removed then the thread will be removed by GW and they gave me a link to the rules.
