That is truly hilarious, Anele! Tears rolling down my face while laughing in recognition (unfortunately!).

Just this afternoon I was having a FWP- (or even a FW Crisis) as I searched high & low for a misplaced item I bought a couple of weeks ago at Target, a little pack of paper "page markers" which cost about $1.96. (But that seemed a huge extravagance to me for what I was getting!). Still, I splurged & bought them...I do a lot of "spiritual reading" & I need to mark the important stuff!

"Where did I put them?" I raged at myself. "For crying out loud...I can't find them anywhere! Did I throw them away by accident? How could I do that? Ugh...!!!" I mean really-a FWP if there ever was one!

Aw, thanks for watching, Stinky! It made me face my self in the mirror as well. I love that it was done with such humor. It would not have been nearly as funny to me if I did not recognize the truth in it!

Along the same lines, back when the terms like Yuppie and DINKs were first being used, we labeled by nephews & niece OPUGs. Over privileged, under grateful. Fortunately, I saw all of them over Xmas and they have all turned out to be lovely young adults. They may still overly privileged but at least they have the maturity to be appropriately grateful.

indeed so funny and so true, it puts everything in perspective; it seems lately though it's impossible to have a trivial conversation without someone saying:
" we're lucky this is our worst problem, right ?"

so now it will be replaced by
" this is a first world problem, here's a straw" to be on trend. Good one !!

Very good! Don't know where I first heard the phrase but I started using it with a GF of mine a while back. I love her to death but she can get totally twisted over some really stupid stuff - I, of course, NEVER do that ;) Now she beats me to the punch and whenever she starts to complain about something prefaces it with, "I know...... this is a FWP!!!"

Sad, but oh so true. My kids have used this phrase and now I know where it came from.

I just hate it when I can't reach the remote. FWP.

So funny. DH and I were both so annoyed the other night because the TV remote seemed to be dying. I was able to step back and laugh at the situation pretty quickly. DH, a little less so! The sad thing is that it took us a while to figure out how to turn off the TV without a remote!

A couple of years ago when we were having our beach cottage renovated, we were regularly p.o.'ed at the delays but we were both able to laugh and say, "yeah, poor us, it's going to take an extra few weeks to custom rebuild our beach house!" The sad thing is, there are so many people out there who can't step back and put it in perspective.

Oh damn...that is the cleverest thing I've seen in some time!!! Brilliant!
