I figured you guys all studied Latin. It means "with".
It rhymes with sum, as in cogito ergo sum, which is pronounced like the "ou" in should.

Isn't that sexy?

Something I would like to add here that is a bit off topic is the future. If you have land (as I do and am considering this idea) you should perhaps think of doing this even if it is not that profitable NOW. We have over 5 billion people on this planet, and in 10 years we will have 7 billion people, and less land. It will be harder to find food, harder to produce food, and more valuable to sell food or trade. Fruit trees seem like a great idea as you only have to plant once. It is sustainable, local and if we become a hungry overpopulated country we can depend on our own trees to sustain us and the environment. In the future we will have to make serious decisions, 1 child per couple, and weather longevity is sustainable and if there will be enough to eat!

Alisande: my dh was in a running shoe store. The clerk indicated that peoples' feet change over time. He used to be a 10.5 & now is an 11. So you might want to get your measurements redone. We had no idea that with athletic shoes [you know those extra holes off to the side] can be laced in several ways in order to make the shoe fit your foot/heel much better!

I really like KSWL's bench idea or leaving the space empty, or maybe just a table and lamp with a low watt bulb that you can leave on for ambiance. Something about a chair backed up to an open railing above a high drop-off is not cozy or inviting to me but makes me imagine I'd feel a little uneasy. Maybe no one would sit on the bench, ever, but it's a colorful space filler

Thank you so very much, Jamies! I'm off to take a look right after I submit this post. I have indeed been "in paradise" -- just returned from Puerto Vallarta yesterday and am moping around today, trying to scheme ways to get back there again very soon. I appreciate you thinking of me! :-)

Jen, I am so jealous of you. Wasn't this your second trip to PV in the last year or so? My DH and I went for our 25th anniversary last March, and I'd love to go back.

LOL @ Natal! Yep, you know I'd rather be south of the border! Heck, I'm planning our next trip down there. I gotta have something to live for, right? ;-)

Terriks, this was our third trip to PV, and I gotta say - this time I really feel as though I left a big ol' chunk of my heart behind when we had to leave. I spent much of today uploading photos and have a little PV slideshow, if you'd like to see. I'm sure you'll recognize most of the places and probably the faces too!

Very cool slide show, I've really gotten caught up some of the photos. (Enjoying the music, too, it's soothing on this dreary January morning.) Did you study photography, AJ? There are some very nice shots in there with interesting composition I've gone back to linger over. There's a sense of age old and modern blending together. Like the exterior of Our Lady of Guadalupe, grand old cathedral touching the sky with a modern day telephone pole next to it. Or all the boats in the cove resting still, but no sign of people anywhere. The way the bookstore is framed, it feels like it crops up suddenly on a secluded jungle path. Or the sculptor with his high tech ear buds, intently recreating an ancient king from sand. Can you tell I got caught up in it (and need a vacation badly?! lol) Seriously, really enjoyed looking at those. :)

That hover craft ride had to be blast!

Thanks so much for your kind comments. Moonshadow, I've never studied photography - although I grew up in a family where photography was revered (I'd call my dad a semi-pro, actually), and the love of the medium rubbed off on me to some degree. I had such a great time taking pics on our trip, and was pleased with the way that several of them turned out. I'm eager to take more pics, and may look into a better quality camera in the near future.
