I looked at Miele and SZ. Ruled out Northland (noise and lack of energy efficiency) and GE Monogram (I hated my old GE fridge). I also wanted fully integrated and paneled which left me really with those two choices, although I would have considered stainless if something had cost less and been acceptable. The Miele was more than the SZ. We have a snack station in the kitchen with a fridge freezer drawer from KA (also fully integrated). We took out the icemaker (we have a big icemaker) and it is more than enough freezer space for items you don't want to walk to get (ice cream, waffles, etc.). The rest goes in a large freezer we had built into our laundry cabinets. It is just a frigidaire and was not expensive but is huge and we put cabinets on top of it, pulled forward, and it is recessed between two closets so it looks built in even though it is not. It has worked very well for us (particularly since we would have had another freezer somewhere even if we had a larger one in the kitchen because I have never found freezer space in a fridge to be adequate for our needs and family full of boys and their friends!)

Do they come with a water dispenser option and ice maker? I don't care if they are internal. I just don't want to have to have water bottles stored in the fridge and I REALLY don't want to have to fill the ice cube trays all the time. I like the hinges though and that the fridge can be fully recessed flush with the cabinets.

We noticed the depth of the dacor was deeper too but keep in mind that that the thermador door bins are much bigger as well. The dacor door bins were very thin, i don't even think a half gallon milk would fit. They probably have similar space, just differently utilized. With pizza's i usually just separate them and wrap each with aluminum foil to save space. I can't say i made the right decision since i won't get the thermador until April (my kitchen is being renovated). I forgot to mention I also didn't like where the meat/vegetable/fruit bins handles were on the dacor. They were on the bottom whereas the thermador's were on the top. I love Dacor's hidden controls, kind of like the Miele. The thermadors was OK but not as fancy. Dacor might have a better food preservation system/filter. Stainless steel might keep the food a bit colder but not sure. Another plus for me is that the Thermador HQ is 15 min. from where i live so I should be able to get faster service if i have problems. I don't think you'll regret it since thermador has been around for a while. Dacor has not been a reliable brand but since the takeover from Samsung no one really knows...should be better though.

The Thermador T36BT920NS Freedom Series 36 Inch Built In Counter Depth French Door Refrigerator ($9300) was very highly rated by Consumer Reports and, per CR, Thermador's built-in refrigerator predicted reliability is "Excellent". However Bosch's reliability for a similar product is also "Excellent" and it's one-third the price or less: Bosch B36CT80SNS 800 Series 36 in. 21 cu. ft. A counter depth is NOT the same thing as a built in. The Thermador is NOT the same as the two Bosch ones you show. The comparable Bosch is the B36BT930NS. It's listed for $8299. I have the panel ready built in Bosch version of this fridge and I think it's excellent. And yes the Bosch has dual compressors. We went with the Bosch over the Thermador because we got a rebate (well we were supposed to until the builder screwed that up too) because we were doing a Bosch cooktop and oven, so with the third piece, we were supposed to get a 12% discount. There are only very slight differences between the Thermador and the Bosch and it has nothing to do with performance.
