Hi Robert, yes, a little. I had a technician come out. it's fine, it's just not a full speed oven. So, you have to work a few things out by trial and error. For example, I do a baked potato on a beef setting now and it works just fine. he explained to me to go by density. so I write it down in a book that I keep near the oven for reference. that part is disappointing for me for sure, but I don't use the speed functions that often to be frank. It looks good, matches the oven, the microwave part of it works really well, and when I need the few things done speed wise, it's a bit trial and error, but we get there!

I've seen this with other microwaves. If you pull out the plate you should see the plastic "gear" that does the actual turning. You should, with some force, be able to pull that out. Typically it's a "keyed" sprocket that can get rounded out and result in exactly what you're seeing. It's designed to prevent stress on the motor. Now *why* you'd get that on a new oven is a question. Normally that's something I'd expect to see after years of (ab)use.

I have the same setup for over 5 years and I am happy with it. Background: I moved from a house that only has a range and an otr microwave. Hated that otr microwave as it didn't sucks anything and the filter was a pain to clean. Kitchen was so so small and could not have more than one person in the cooking area and very limited counter space. When I bought the current house I want the new kitchen to have clean counter top at most if not all time (no small appliances on counter). I have enough wall cabinet space to accommodate a speed oven, convection oven, and a cooktop. We use the mw function of the speed oven daily, I also use it for most day to day baking needs as we are a small family of 3 and it hit up much faster than the big convection oven. MW function was the only request my DH has in the kitchen, so that was a must for us. I have a small toaster oven that we put away in cabinet when we don't use it (we use it at most once a wk, sometime maybe once a month). I did want to get a combi steam but I don't have enough space to add to what I already have. So I gave up that to grant DH's wish. If I have the space, I would have want to add that to my current setup as nice to have but what I have definitely meets my need. HTH.

Agree with Dana above that my speed oven is only serving as a microwave at this time. However its in a very visible part of my kitchen above the single wall oven so it looks great. the wolf range top is a workhorse, and so simple. If it wasn’t for the red knobs, there would be no hint of arrogance about them. i have barely used my wall oven so im so glad i didnt get a double oven. I have the sub zero column paneled 36 inch fridge / 36 inch freezer and i stare at it daily and thank my lucky stars for them. it costs more than my car but in the grand scheme of things/ cost of the remodel this kitchen is the best part of the house and will be a factor in its sale price more than any extra fancy millwork or heavy duty sound proofing or fancy tiles or whatever we spent $$$ on… in sum, spend the money on your appliances, cut it elsewhere.
