Hi prairie love and others. I'm an infrequent visitor over here, just found your thread. I have an acre and a half of woods & clearing. My "grand vista" is my woods, the neighbors nearby & their properties, an interstate highway, and a bit of the open fields beyond the highway. I can't block out the highway other than keeping my woods area 99% as is, no improvements. W/ no yardscaping at all at my house, (previous owners had scraggly foundation plantings, hardly any grass, no gardens, just oak leaves & trees everywhere) I had an "empty canvas". Closer to the house, I started adding gardens where wildflowers bloomed and sun was prevalent. I've expanded since then, but slowly. After finding and reading this forum years ago, I learned about "paths" and "hardscape" et al. I found out how QUICKLY a simple hose, or a mark drawn w/ a stick, creates a LINE dividing one space from another. Probably a "duh!", but penny-dropping to me at that time. Once you make that line, you then have to decide if and with what you're going to do with the spaces on each side of the line. Do nothing, it stays as is. Do something, and something has to change. Paths and Destinations made SOOOO much sense to me! I could envision my "gardens" as magazine covers, and now I had a "way/reason" to get to them! BUT..... implementing the paths has been difficult. My existing "paths" were the natural straight lines between trees where I hauled hoses. Straight line paths were easier, but not very artistic. If I created a curved path, then it would have to curve around "something", so thus, more garden areas were formed. (not fully planted, forever "in progress"--NOT ready for magazines yet!). So, now I have new beds and new curved paths, which are artistic, but are heck to deal w/ when still hauling hoses. I worried for a long time when I moved here about "improving" nature. Once I replaced a wildflower w/ a domestic plant, the changes began. Over the years, I've mellowed, and my garden areas work fine in my yard, the woods are still woods. It didn't occur to me til sometime last year to finally get around to making "definitive" woodland paths. Buoyed by a new project & fresh woodland photo pages from some magazine, out I went! Got started, got interrupted, and then found out an out-of-state move was semi immenent. Not all on the same day, but close enough. Now, months later, the move will still happen, not sure when, but I'll have to leave most of the path making (or erasing!) to the future owners. Sigh. Didn't mean to ramble. I do have another perspective on "rooms". Two people I know, one in this neighborhood, one somewhere else in town, both have TALL wood fences surrounding some portion, or ALL, of their homes, for various privacy reasons. One enclosure is outside a magnificent master bath & floor to ceiling picture window, the other is ALL the way around a house to exclude a not nice neighborhood from the house. The master bath enclosure is located in a part of the house, and the neighborhood, where privacy didn't "have" to happen--(I think the owner didn't want to see her carport from her bath!); the total fence enclosure of the other house was for safety and seclusion. Anyway, for different reasons, both people chose fences when they could have had somewhat open spaces. And the point I'm finally getting to is that within those enclosed spaces both people have created delightful "private gardens", VERY small, filled w/ interesting plants and yes, decorations and statues, and even small paths! Those plants and objects & paths become their "view", and create such a fabulous ambiance, where before was so-so or ugly. Looking at the enclosed gardens from within the homes, one doesn't miss the "distant view" at all! So now I'm hoping my new house will have some land, and also a space for my own enclosed, private garden! Dreaming, anyway! One more point I'll try to make briefly. Maybe it somewhat ties into my yard story above.("empty" before I started adding gardens &paths, not "empty" now.) The other day I drove through some new suburbs looking for plant ideas for a new client. (NOT copying--haven't designed in a while.) All of the fronts of the (too close together) homes were lovely and had nice basic landscaping. NONE of their side yards were landscaped at all. Looked like one of the first homes we lived in long time ago. I ached for those lonely forgotton empty stretches of blah. I wanted each homeowner to have the wisdom & money to make doorways out of existing windows, or cut through the brick garage walls to make doors, so they could create "interesting" side gardens that would be used and made pretty. I guess I'm saying what the others have said: make interesting/pretty spaces near your home, (or in the distance, too!) low growing enough to not block the view or dogs, but nice enough for close to the house entertaining, etc. SusiQ

I am with DA here the free screensaver sites are one of the notorious infection spreading sites, you can find some good free ones but if you went for one of the fancy elaborate ones my guess is you did not just get a free screensaver. I would run malwarebytes updated full scan immediately and also an online antivirus scan. You may have a hard time removing the screensaver if it is one of the bad ones. Malwarebytes Free Online Scanner where did you download it from?

Maybe Restore Desktop and Screensaver Tabs Line 128 right side. What you do is click Restore Desktop and Screensaver Tabs, a page of text will open. Copy all the text to notepad. Save the text as anyname.reg (thats dot reg) One you've saved the reg file somewhere, right click > open with > choose program > registry editor. If Registry Editor is not there, browse to C:/Windows/regedit
