what "moisture control" ? Don't add those beads or what that soak up and hold water, that will rot your plant..you should use some vermiculite instead. You just need to check the plant for the next week or so to see that the string you are using does not bring too much water up to keep your plant too wet. Cotton string rots quickly I have read, and needs to be replaced more often. I can't tell if it is the lighting or reflection in your picture, but does it look like a lot of wicking (string) in your resouvoir?...if so, you didn't put that much length in the pot too?

There are several pottery museums in Muskingum/Perry county. I'd suggest you might want to email them your photographs. One is at the Zane Grey Museum on route 40 East. You can Google the address. You might do the same to the National Ceramic Museum and Heritage Center also outside of Zanesville. (Ohio Ceramic center) Yes.......even the mom and pop antique stores in the area are pretty knowledgeable about ceramics. It's an understatement to say that most folk around here can spot a 'good' piece even if they're not into collecting it. It's just been such a part of life in these parts and a major employer up until the last few decades. The art center here in Z'ville has a nice collection of local pottery as well. I'm thinking one of the pottery museums might be better equipped to identify an esoteric piece like you have there. Contact these places by phone or email and if they can't help you, they surely can tell you who can.

I had a John Deere tractor about the size of the Case you pictured when I was five, and I loved it, although I never liked full-sized tractors. I also had toy John Deere tractors that were true to scale. I've never seen funnelcake in person. Thanks for showing it! Did you get Zane some toy tractors? He does look a lot like you. Way, way, way too cute! I love the fact that in all but the last picture he's not smiling...just looking like he's having fun....and mischievous!
As my MIL would say, he looks like a pistol!

Linda, My Mom used to say that my DS was a pistol! I've not heard that term used many times. ;-)

Thanks gals! Yes, he is a pistol! *huge grin*

And no, that's a cat. LOL He's a HUGE tom, he has stomach problems and it looks like he's fat but it's probably tumors. :( Sad, I know, we really can't do much for him but keep him comfy. He seems to be doing MUCH better now that we let him be a mostly outside cat, though.

I agree, Eileen, the poor underprivileged child has not a thing to play with. I also thought the cat was a goat, LOL.

Dawn, he's getting so big and so handsome. I'll admit, I like the ones on the lawn tractor, though, a farmer wannabe!
