Grandma Bonnie, my DD has one of those screens, also. It may not be the best option, but for her, does the job she needs it to do. I get tangled in it, but then, I usually have my hands full when I go in and out of it! I absolutely love the Comfy (Comfort?) Cushion they advertise. I bought one before going to an indoor music festival a couple of years ago. Those stackable cushioned convention chairs are only comfortable for about an hour. Especially after riding in the car for 3 hours to get there. I bought it to try there. I still wiggled, but only because I was tired of sitting, and my knees give me fits if I sit too long, but I wasn't wiggling because my back and bottom hurt. When I bought it at Bed Bath & Beyond, the cashier asked if it was a gift or for me. She had purchased one for her DH for Christmas and he loved it, and usually has a very poor opinion of the As Seen on TV items. I went back and bought a second one for DH to use. We take them every time we go to that music festival, held twice a year. And I used my coupon at BB&B. They are the same price at Walmart or BB&B, otherwise.

Presumably you're selecting the (auto-dry) Towels cycle for a towels load? What size is the load? Small loads may not touch the sensor bars consistently or frequently enough for proper operation. Setting the machine slightly off-level toward the front (where the sensor bars are located on the filter housing) can help promote movement of the load toward the bars. Is the load a mix of lighter-weight items with the towels? That can throw the auto dry sensor askew being that it reacts to the average of the load and the lightweight items dry faster. Are other types of loads drying satisfactorily? Is the Eco Dry option turned off? Try the Jeans cycle. Cycles don't necessarily have to be selected for a given load according to the control labels. Some dryers with electronic controls have a service setting to adjust the overall sensitivity toward a more-dry level of performance. You might try to locate service information to determine if an adjustment is available.
