McLoving stood her ground this time. They were four feet away from each other and having hissing fits, but neither one would back down. After hissing at each other for a few minutes they both walked away. They are too funny. That is the closest they have been to each other since McLoving arrived. I tried to bribe her out of the carrier Friday night with the Cat Sitter DVD. She wanted to run up to the TV but watched it from her carrier like she was at a drive-in. Boa hasn't caterwauled since McLoving arrived. I know McLoving will fill the void it's just going to take time. I tried calling Juanita last night but got her voice mail so I left her a message. I think she told me she is working on Mondays? She is much more affectionate than Bear was. She nose dives me all over when she's in bed with me. Last night she kept licking my face. I guess it must have looked dirty to her. That rough tongue on the cheek tickles. Maybe she was showering me with kisses for giving her a new home. She hasn't explored the upstairs yet. How to download and install Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware application for Windows computers use the full scan option when you scan and always update it before scanning, scan once a week. McAfee will not be on any of my computers either it caused me major problems which all disappeared when it was removed fully. If removing McAfee you must use the McAfee removal tool or it will still be lurking in your pc. You should never only depend on one program for your computers safety. Using a layered approach is the best protection. Using a good updated antivirus program, a good firewall, malware removers like malwarebytes free and superantispyware free, and installing spywareblaster and WOT are also a good idea. SpywareBlaster install the free version, once a week open it and hit the update button once it gets the updates hit the one that says enable all protection, the shield will turn green and you are done, it sits in the background protecting you from malicious sites. WOT is added to your browser to give you indicators of ratings for websites you are trying to visit, if the site is a bad one it will block it with a red circle, when you do a search on google you will have round circles at the end of each line to let you know if it is safe=green, caution=yellow, bad=red. Web of Trust (WOT) do you know if the firewall is turned on, on the computers? If she had McAfee on the pc that has to be fully removed before she can install any version of AVG. The removal tool must be used. Removal tool (MCPR.exe) be sure when installing anything to make sure you do not get any added toolbars or other junk that may be pre checked during the install process, uncheck all that are not needed. msm84, When your Grand daughter "x-ed" it out. That may have been how it got installed after visiting a bad website. NEVER X OUT or even touch the screen with your cursor/mouse on a popup of this type. What you want to do is to left click the taskbar and bring up the Task Manager and end the process. This type of Rogue program is called Scareware. It entices you to purchase the program to remove malicious content that is fictitious. This is a complete scam as the scan results are all fake and many of the listed files are actually legitimate files that if removed could cause problems for your computer. Antivirus 8 will also attempt to protect itself by not allowing you to run various programs that may assist in removing it. When you attempt to run these types of programs, Antivirus8 will terminate it and then state that the file is infected. In conjunction to installing SpywareBlaster, I also recommend her to install WOT (Web of Trust). This will prevent access to bad sites as long as you heed the warnings to not enter them. Self discipline is the key to prevention! Please follow through with getting professional help before installing anything more. Even if you use MBAM in safe mode, there is still a registry key that will be needing attention! These programs are very aggressive and do leave traces behind.
