Which "radio" do you want to listen to? Begin by going to the web site of a specific station of your choice, look for a button that says "listen live", click it and follow instructions if necessary. If you're not worried about changing stations every five minutes, that's probably all you need to do. If the station you're interested in does not stream in Windows media, you may be required to download & install something else (maybe Real Player...which is okay). Be wary of downloading anything you do not recognize. Ask another question if you need more information.

I kike to listen to the radio, too, while I'm at my computer, as the audio quality is good and reliable. I mainly listen to one station, and I just have a bookmark on my toolbar that takes me to the home page for that station. It has several buttons just to click on depending whether you want to use Windows MP, Realplayer, or through iTunes. Many stations are the same way. The simplest way is to register at www.radiotime.com or just pick and choose daily. I have all my favorite presets and just pick a favorite at any given time.

I like to use Slacker, you can register or not but if you register you can so more and compile your faves lists etc.

I really like garageband.com to find new up and coming talent, you can just listen or in many cases download for free the music the new bands have made available.

I have used slacker but mostly have used the free version of jetAudio. Then go to shoutcast.com for hundreds os stations sorted into genres.

I hate AOL, but love their radio. I don't use it for anything else. It has hundreds of stations, both local and their own. It operates like XM radio without many commercials and you can choose music according to what you like. I play Light Rock or Love Songs (at work), Country, etc. Nice easy music 'almost' commerical free. AOL is free. Just go to AOL.com and click on radio.

It has been a few months so I don't recall the culprits name but the worst Cramming fraud I have ever experienced was an on-line radio company.

So be advised that at least one of the on-line radio providers is a crook.

I listen to the BBC - they have many different programs available on the net - and they use their own player. I like to listen to BBC Radio in Derry, Northern Ireland - NO commercials and an amazing variety of music~
