yes for some reason they all want to hide the Bcc options and I really have no idea why because that is the way to send multiple emails properly so addresses are not displayed for everyone. this article will help you out a lot it has a lot of yahoo shortcuts and one is how to toggle off and on BCC. Yahoo! Mail I just went to my yahoo to check how it is done, when you choose to compose a new email along the very top above the TO: line there is a tiny little blue line that says show BCC click that and voila you now have a BCC line. You have to really look for those things. another way is click on the TO: itself that will open your contacts before each name is a box you can tick for those options and there is the BCC option also. Making this change now even though it is leaning something new is good because if you get a new pc with 7 or above you no longer have the option of using OE so you are ahead of the game. And you can check your email from anywhere on any pc which is good if you are away from home.

Thankis, PoohBear for answering. I have high speed access. I did reboot, and unplugged for a couple of minutes. It didn't seem to change anything. I have done a little more looking, and this is what I have found: I am recciving and sending emails ok. In OE,I went to tools, accounts and see that I have three accounts. They are Janet Type- mail Connection- any available mail.charter.net Type- mail Connection- LAN pop3 Type- mail(default) LAN The problem seems to be with the third account pop3. Under properties, servers for this account it simply says pop3 or smtp, instead of pop.charter.net, or smtp.charter.net like it says in the account Janet. My question, is it ok to delete the third account titled pop3? When I get the error message above, there is a box that flashes on the screen that indicates it is checking all three accounts, and the first two are ok. The screen flashes on so fast I had to close and open several times to read it. As you can tell,I am not very knowledgable about all this. Thanks, Janette

Just a quick update to anyone who may (or may not!) be interested in my original problem... After literally weeks of frustrating searches, futile attempts and dead-ends, I wiped Outlook Express from my computer and downloaded Thunderbird...it's a real gem! I did lose my old address book (but luckily I had a replica within Hotmail), but DID keep all sent/deleted/saved messages...can easily rebuild address book as people email me...messages to my old OE address still arrive at new Thunderbird one, so I'm a very happy chappy!
