Not that I have used it... it's so quiet, no need to delay. We barely can hear it now.

I think you might be referring to an authorized Miele install - that extends your warranty. You pretty much have to buy them from an auth'd dealer since no one else has them (unless you are buying off craigslist maybe).

I too have the Diamante, which is one step up from the Inspira. As mentioned above, it adds to it the Delay Start, but also has the fold-down tines on the bottom rack (that I believe aren't on the Inspira), and is Q2 noise level (where the Inspira is Q1) so only 1-2 dB difference in sound.

The advantage of having it installed by an Authorized/Certified Miele installer, is that it extends the standard 1-year manufacture warranty to 2-years. But within the 1st year (regardless on who installs it) you have the option to buy the $249 Miele Care extended warranty that covers it for 5 years total from the date of purchase (so that would run concurrent with the 1 or 2-year manufacture warranty). I've had the Diamante since May, and haven't had any issues with it, and it was installed by a Miele Certified installer, so it has the 2-year warranty, but I still plan to buy the Extended Warranty for $249, just so it will give another 3 years of coverage once the 2-years end. There was a 3rd-party warranty offered by the Dealer for $99 for 4 years, but it just has 'anyone' do the work, not a trained Miele Tech.

There's a Turbo too. I guess faster? But I'm not usually in a hurry since i start it after dinner every night.

On the bottom rack on the Diamante (and higher models), you'll see two yellow plastic clips. You can press the down to the left, and the tines fold down to the left. This is useful when needing room for a big pot. The Turbo function work by increasing the water temp and the water pressure to get the load done in about 15% less time. I usually don't use the Turbo, since I run the unit at night and aren't in any rush to get it done. But if I was having people over during the day and may need to run more than 1 load, then I'd use the Turbo to get it done faster.

A note about the Turbo feature. It helps speed things up but it's not a critical feature, at least for me. I have the Optima, which I needed for the china/crystal cycle. But it also has the Express setting. That's the critical one as it is a 47 minute cycle that is super handy for smaller loads or when you want to get it done and clear it.

Like Fauguy, we usually run it overnight. But I also use Express a lot. Haven't looked at the various models specs recently so I'm not current on which one has what. I wouldn't upgrade for Turbo but would for Express cycle. I have an 6 y.o. Excella (similar to Optima 0 repair/problem record) in our house and it's the only feature I miss.

I have this model and have been using it since June. It performs wonderfully and is very, very quiet. I won't say "silent" because if you listen for it, it's audible but not not intrusive in the least. It does have fold down tines in the bottom, and the plate rack also lifts out to make room for large items like pots. The third rack is terrific. At first, I wondered if it would hold as much as my old dishwasher, but once you start loading, it's amazing how much actually goes in! It cleans lightyears better than my old dishwasher. The ONLY thing that I'm dissapointed in is that you can't get a cookie sheet in there without removing the plate rack--the price for the third rack, I expect. I can live with that.

I did have a Miele Authorized installer, but did not purchase the extended warranty. Miele has a reputation for being a good quality machine that lasts a long, long time. I figured that it was more likely that it will be fine than that it will break down.

cj47, I can get two cookie sheets in my Diamante. Just place them standing-up on the bottom rack on the left and right side. It doesn't require any racks to be removed.

rococogurl, On the new Diamante it also includes the Express cycle and China/Chrystal cycle. The Express on it only takes about 15-20 minutes to do a load. But I haven't really had any need to use it, as it runs at night. 90% of the time I use the Normal mode, and then the rest I use the Pots/Pans mode. Both of those take about 2 hours to fully run, or about 1.5hr with the Turbo on.

Looking at the Inspira, it too has the Express cycle, but does not have China/Crystal. Instead there is an Economy mode for "washing lightly soiled dishes with light fatty residues", which sounds almost like the Express mode "A quick wash program for cleaning lightly soiled, temperature sensitive items".

Do you have an Express wash on this model? I have it on the LaPerla, and wow wow wow..... about 32 mins for it. Amazing...! I had company here and one night we were all in the kitchen cooking, husband, myself, esteemed guest, and I had to do it 5x!! And it was great!

Yes, it appears the Inspira has the Express wash, just like my Diamante (which takes 15 min).
