2 accounts screwed me up...

I had an existing account with Yahoo Mail. I made another account for a forum that I would rarely visit. Now, wheneverI want my mail, the 2nd account comes up, and it seems almost impossible to get to my first account. I want to cancel the 2nd account- too much trouble. How do I do this? I coudn't see a promt to do so.

Just a hunch.
Did you sign out from account number 2 before you closed and before opening up Yahoo again?

I have two separate gmail accounts which I sign in and out each time.

urlee is exactly right, just sign out of the 2nd account and sign in to your old account.
The Sign out is just to the right of where it says Hi.

From your description it sounds like when you came back to close the door after mowing something was blocking the safety beam or perhaps you bent the safety beam mount with the mower?? Anyway pulling the cord only disengages the door from the Genie screw and not from power etc. Stopping after 5 minutes is probably a heat sensor shutting the motor off. I would call the installer back and try to have a reasonable discussion with him. There probably isn't much wrong if anything. The manual is a good source of information but not very interesting reading.

I am going to order a load of forect mulch and manure mix and have them spread that. I will then add the vermiculite I bought. I'm not as worried as I was. Basically its a misunderstanding and they are trying to fix it so i'm not going to make a huge fuss. if everything you say is true then this will turn out right if I just keep putting in OM from now on. I'm just a little sad as I'd hoped not to ahve any native soil as its so high in salt but then who am I kidding the water here is salty so it will end up salty anyway. FYI here in the Desert (zone 9b) it is our spring so I don't have the winter to add leaves (plus we don't have leaves trees here everything is desert adapted = no leaves or everygreen) and wait. I have been waiting all summer for a back yard and now is prime planting time. if I have any hope of getting anything established before the summer heat it has to go in now so the roots have chance to grow and the plant has a fighting chance! Thanks for making me feel that its not such the disaster I thought it was earlier!!

As to the stove elements, I suggest that you either shut off the circut breaker, or unplug the range before working on the sockets. They can still have some live wires there even though the heat control is turned off. Some GE (or is it Hotpoint) stoves have a non removable element, while others have an odd metal fin at the tips. The burners you have (its a Whirlpool product?) are easy to remove by just lifting the element away from the bowl, OPPOSITE where its plugged into the socket. If the bowls are bad, they too can be easily replaced. All the items (elements, sockets, bowls, etc.) can be bought at Home Depot, Lowes, or many of the larger hardware chains. Once the bowl is lifted out, you should see s small screw holding the socket in place at the edge of the hole of the stove surface. Once the screw is removed the socket can easily be lifted out through the opening of the stove and is wired to two wires using wirenuts. These wirenuts just simply screw on to the socket wires. Unscrew them, and then you can untwist the two connected wires and seperate the socket. Obviously, the power is OFF at the main before you mess with the sockets!! Some replacement brands of elements have more turns in the coils compared to others. Avoid the 'economy' burners as they are just not as efficient to use. There is also a raised canning element that I use if I am doing a lot of continous canning. These have more coils and are rasied up about an inch or more from the surface of the stove. They also have thicker support struts and an outside heat shield. My regular elements get so hot that the metal struts holding them flat will start to sag downwards and the burner will eventually sink into the stove top, which is NOT good. Look at the photo in the link, and if your burner connection tips are similar (little round Â¿ shapes), then its a good chance you will find replacements for everything needed. My mom always made my dad pneapple oatmeal cookies. They were really good - sometimes they fell apart and other times they didn't but they were always gone in a couple days! I have the recipe somewhere.

not sure about yahoo I never use my yahoo account but most of those allow you to have one account check all the others email and just get your email in the one place rather than logging in and out. You just click on which one you want to be checking and using.

I use a little program called PopPeeper to monitor a number of different email accounts. Much easier than using the web interface. Also when I use the web interface I usually use a separate browser. I run Opera, K-meleon and Firefox so actually including the Internet Elephant I could have four accounts open if I had them and needed them.

Another idea for the problem is you may have checked the box to keep you logged in for 2 weeks. When you want to sign in, go to the login site, enter the account and password and enter. If it shows the other name, usually it will have a link underneath something like "Not you?" or something like that to give you the chance to change the login name. When you want to switch, log out and then go back to the main page I linked above.

cynic, poppeeper is a great little program. I sure wish they would work on developing a version for linux I would have it on all of my linux boxes in a heartbeat.
their Aeris Calendar is very cool too, includes weather with the calendar. That would be nice in linux version too.

That is how I am set up as and don't have to sign in/out, but I was addressing ilmbg's problem.

Yes, I was still signed in with account 1. I usually don't log in and out. (I don't have anything so important that it would matter if someone got into it!) I will try/look as you have sugessted- thanks.
