Most of us have just the simple PDF reader as we do not need to create PDF files. If you cannot open it then the pictures can be had by taking a screen shot and editing it in your photo editing program. Place the photo where it is fully visible then tap the 'Print Scrn' or 'PRN SCRN' key next to your F12 button. Open your photo editor, right click in the work space then click Paste in the pop up. Crop to your liking and name it.

A couple of other things have happened, too. All of a sudden I lost my sound, again, and I get a message saying "Found new Hardware" but it can't find a driver to install. Then my printer stopped printing and I get a message saying "Could not find Post Script Interpreter defined in your settings. Check your settings under Advance options.... applications." Has my computer been fried or is it something I've done and can be fixed? I did a restore system yesterday back two weeks but it's still not right. Again, thanks in advance.

Notepad is a text editor, but I suspect that you won't be able to read those using a text editor. I think Parsons was bought by Intuit and later sold to Broderbund, but I can't find the Journal program on any of the websites, so I don't think you'll have much luck getting any support for it. You can always copy the files from the floppy into a directory on the hard drive in case you later remember the password you used for those files.

There is also a free download called CutePDF writer. Once you download/install it shows up just like a printer so you go to print your document, select this option, and it creates a PDF file and saves it to your hard drive. We use this at work and I also use it at home.
