I really need help with pdf file!

I am having major problems with a pdf file. First, let me say that I think my WP10 is corrupted - not sure but it's either corruped or it's now a demon!

I have Word Perfect 10 on my computer and use it for publishing a newsletter. It has always been tempermental but now it pushes pages from page #8 to page #63. It locks up, it distorts, etc.

I saved it to a pdf file but the file will not open when sent by email. I can open it on my computer but not when I send it from one email account of mine to another. It cannot be opened in anyone's email. Also, I have been unable to save it to a CD.

My questions is - have I lost the whole &^%($# newsletter or can I somehow save it? Can anyone tell me how to save it?

I have a Dell 2300, 256 ram, Intel Pentium processor 1.75.

I sure hope someone can help me save a week or two's work.

A couple of other things have happened, too. All of a sudden I lost my sound, again, and I get a message saying "Found new Hardware" but it can't find a driver to install. Then my printer stopped printing and I get a message saying "Could not find Post Script Interpreter defined in your settings. Check your settings under Advance options.... applications."

Has my computer been fried or is it something I've done and can be fixed? I did a restore system yesterday back two weeks but it's still not right.

For a start on all these problems, when you have the pdf file open, click file on top left taskbar and chose save as.
On the file name, remove .pdf and type in .wpd
This will save a copy as a word perfect document.
At least you'll have a copy as wpd, so all is not lost.

Bob, as of today, I am intimately involved with every worthless feature of my printer. lol I tried that, I click on it, change it to 400% and it reverts right back to 100. So I turned on the poster option and picked the one that looks like it's 4 times bigger than a regular page and nothing happens, it just freezes up and doesn't print at all. Grrrrr! I'm thinking that should really do it, but what do I know? I give up. I'll stop by a Kinko's or something and use one of their copiers and save myself the aggravation of this thing. Chances are I'll never even use it, but dangitall, I wanted to figure it out! Thanks for trying to help me, though, I do appreciate it!

Really need more information. Which program are you using to open\read PDF files? In a lot of cases, just increasing or decreasing the zoom setting will help you see more of the document. The "little hand" is the PDF cursor within the document. I'm not sure what you mean by "the right column" unless you mean the scroll bar? Help us help you. If you know how to post a screen shot of an opened PDF file, that would be a huge help.

Unfortunately, you can't just insert a PDF or a JPG into a post -- you have to upload it somewhere else first, and then link to it. If you click on the link below to the ReadMe for this forum, and scroll down to the second or third comment, the instructions walk you through how to upload images to photobucket. If you are using this computer on line, is it protected with an up to date Anti Virus program and have you also checked for Spyware with a couple of spyware utilities.
The first thing I do when something weird starts happening on the computer is check for infestation by one of these

Does WP10 have the capability to save documents in pdf format? I would have thought you need something like the free PDF Creator

I agree with Gene abut being infected with unwelcome guests. Here are a couple of free online scans if you want to use them. There are many others out there but I like either of these.

I want to tell you all thank you for your help. I did as each of you said but the problem was resolved. But, I did spend about 2-1/2 hours talking to Dell support in India and he go everything working. I have absolutely no idea what he did because I really couldn't understand him.

Again, thanks for the suggestion I am putting them in my file for future reference.
