Kim, I am on the Low Tyramine diet for Migraine auras...so, my response is experience with the diet. The diet has been a pain due to my love for chocolate, avacados, bread, cheese, peanuts and raspberries. How all these things get lumped into one is beyond me. All were a mainstay, as was microwave meals. Oh, I forgot the raisins loved in oatmeal and ham for great winter soups. It is interesting that our minds think we have to have these things. I still "want" them, and keep thinking I hate everything else. Which is a bit silly as the everything else is quite a long list and no reason to not have some great stuff. Guess it is the grass being greener deal. My list also includes avoiding MSG. Have done a lot of searches to get a handle on this and the Low Tyramine diet. There is nothing out there except one book. And, if you start looking too hard. the list of what you can't have gets longer or just too confusing. Bottom line is anything on the store shelf has MSG as does fast food. So, I'm on the cooking from scratch diet, using fresh food, etc. Tis a pain, but am dealing with it. I will say that with this diet I am sleeping wonderfully. It has been years since getting more than a few hours at a time and waking up at 4 am. Actually I wake up surprised the night is without interruption. Cannot really say there are any other significant changes seen. Let us know how you are doing. It will be interesting to know how the diet affects another in a different situation.

What irks the heck out of me is seeing the water tankers sucking fresh clean water out of hydrants. Why can't they be forced to use a different source..like the effluent from sewage treatment plants? If it's clean enough to dump into our streams it should be even more beneficial for watering new sod than chlorinated water from hydrants. At least in Union and Meck they did say hand watering could be from a garden hose. Guess they figure there is some limit to our patience with mosquitoes as we stand there trying to water our plants. They say we got about 2 inches over the weekend (said Pineville got 6" but it's bisected with two big highways and two big streams and the warmth and moisture tend to stall slow moving storms). I think we got about 1 1/2" and I noticed that I never did get the normal puddling in the low part of the back lawn. Hoping my pre-wetting helped the rain soak in. Yeah...re: standing out there getting chewed up whilst I blow soap bubbles. Is there a surfectant that doesn't get sudsy? Something I could spray on the lawns? Maybe I'll google for info. These widely intermittant rains falling on dry soils just run off and what little soaks in encourages shallow root growth. I water, using the system, once a week..deeply so each zone is on for 20-35 min. instead of the 6-8 min. the system was originally set for when watering three times a week. The shorter more frequent waterings work better when you are trying to set fertilizers or keep overseed from floating away. Eh..just musing now. Back to when we had regular rains..

He said when he shut off his computer Sunday night all was ok...then Monday he was trying to do a Google search on a subject and got IE's error...then he tried typing in other sites and same thing. He then tried his Favorites and they all work...I am going to tell him to type in an address of one of his Favs and see what happens then ..can't hurt...LOL.. jackie

I hope so, too, Jacqueline, though the rain hasn't fixed all of our drought problems, at least, not for central TX. According to the Lower Colorado River Authority, using data updated about 5 min ago, the Lake Austin & Lake Buchanan reservoirs that supply Austin are still only at 48% of capacity. That's about 10% higher than a month ago, but it's obviously not ideal. The reason is that the area that feeds the Colorado River still ranges from "Abnormally Dry" to "Severe Drought," with the worst of the drought along a line from Llano to Fredericksberg to Kerrville. This year's rain has been delicious, lovely, wonderfulness (if, sometimes, a little too much wonderfulness), but the underlying problems of how we use water here and how we respond to a drying climate remain. I'll step off the soapbox now... Here's hoping El Niño brings y'all in California a glorious sopping-wet summer!
