Need help from tile experts on new shower

So, in the Murphy's law department, after several meetings with builder on shelves in tiled showers we arrive at

Problem #1: After agreeing that the lower corner shelf would be 18" from the bottom so that my wife can use it when she shaves her legs, tile sub has put it at 24", too high for her to use comfortably. Can they add another shelf at the usable height after the shower has been tiled?

Problem #2: In the hall bath, the corner shelves are a thick, plain white porcelain, that do not match the wall tile color at all. In our other house, they used the same tile to make the shelf, so I just assumed that was standard practice. Is it unreasonable to make them fix this to match? Hard to do?

Thanks for your help!
