Help from tile experts here - quick decision - sizing problem

Hi! I need to make a quick decision and I know nothing about tiling.

The tiler on our new build was about to install floor tiles in our laundry room. They are black and white in a checkerboard pattern. They are made by the same manufacturer and even shown in the display as checkerboard. However, he discovered that the white tile is 1/8 inch smaller than the black one which will result in uneven grout lines. The builder wants to know if they should go ahead and install them (knowing the grout will be uneven) or just use plain black or plain white (or I guess order something completely different but may cause delays).

Is 1/8" difference going to look really bad? It seems like a small amount to me, but I know nothing.

Thanks!
