I absolutely love your concrete! I definately like sink one the best. I know that's only a picture but I would place it back about 2-3 inches from the front of the countertop, it looks too far forward.

Do you mind if I ask how difficult it was to do your concrete tops? Dh and I are considering it in our baths and basement bar.

My vote is for sink #2, mostly for cleaning reasons but style too. I like the faucet with it too LOL.
I'm not sure which cabinet is the one you are referring to, the dark one is the one getting new counter? Sorry but I'm confused which doesn't take too much these days : )

I think #1 matches the style of your vanity and handles and faucet best. But with a thick concrete counter, will it not be too high? Are you not supposed to put counter height lower than average for those deep rimmed sinks?

I personally really like square sinks (had them in our last home that we built) and will probably put them in one or more of our three bathrooms as we redo them.

So it is two to two right now!! It is hard to decide these things.

Sask..girl- Our vanity that will get the new counter is the dark green one... the last one before the faucets.

It is really quite simple to to make them. You just need some time and patience. We made the mold out of melamine and the bottom side we used for the top of the counter... so.... smooth almost like glass. you mix the concrete mix and pour in about half the amount and then use a type of barbed wire... it has been a while so cannot remember but will find out. Then you pour the rest. The rebar helps hold it all together. It really is like making a cake really... but on a bigger scale! : )

The counters are gorgeous. I think # 2 fits the style of the dark cabinet better along with the ORB fixture.

My new cabinet is 34" and I have a 4" vessel on top. I visited many bathroom showrooms and they had set ups that were even higher than that. I did a mock up and I like the taller vanity.
This is my sink but I love modern.

Organic Donna- That is one BEAUTIFUL sink!!! I LOVE IT. I like how the edges flare out. It has a very elegant look to it while still having clean lines!

One more thing... well two... Our cab is the old school really lower one.... so the high sink would be a non issue.

Brutses- do you think it would be okay to mix the brighter brushed nickel with the ORB faucet? We have it that way in the kitchen but opposite.

We recently installed a sink very similar (if not the same one) in our hall bath. So far we have been pleased. My DH did build a "platform" on the back of the vanity for the faucet. And our faucet looks a lot like the one in the picture. The raised placement of the faucet will give us more options when it becomes necessary to replace it.

My dad remarked that he really liked the sink because it allowed you to "get your hands and face under the faucet" when washing up. I think he enjoyed the raised height.

Sink #1 us beautiful, and we know that you love it; but I'd choose sink #2 with your traditional vanity, beaded board, traditional rug and cupboard pulls. For the faucet, I'd choose the satin nickel. The photo makes the faucet look black, which would go with your pulls and black cabinet. But if it's brown like my ORB kitchen faucet, then you'd have 3 different finishes, and that would bother me.

I vote for sink two.
