Last night was weird, but aren't they all. What was with Paula and men shopping in the women's department?

That was disco? I definitely did not hear the syncopated rhythm with the rat tat tat tat tat tat on the drums. Only Lil and Matt actually sang disco-style.

Nevertheless, I thought Kris, Adam and Alison were great and Danny was good too. If it was up to me, Anoop would go. I don't understand why he is still here.

Kris is growing on me more and more and I like his looks better than Adam's. I'm still a fan of Alison, too, although someone out there doesn't like her, since she has ended up in the bottom three a couple times.

What do you think? Which two will go tonight? I think (hope) Anoop will be one, but so far I haven't been too good at predicting.

I have a Lil problem....I worked last night and missed the show!!!

In fact I worked with the guy running the pool so he said to just take a guess.

I watched Fox News after the show and they only gave a little recap but it looked as tho Lil was ok as was Anoop but the others seemed far better.
So should I vote off Lil and Anoop??

Personally I think that Lil has over stayed her welcome. She should have been gone last week, if not sooner. The top two are Adam and Alison ( I still can't believe that voice comes out of a 16 year old). I think that Anoop has a wonderful voice,but he doesn't seem popular with the American voters for whatever reason. Danny and Kris are a tie in third place for me. I think that Kris is the better singer, but Danny gets the sympathy vote. And Matt? Well I think that he has a wonderful voice but for some reason he hasn't connected with the voters either.

Here's what I think for what it's worth. I'm not great at predicting.

#1. Adam, even though I don't think he is the American Idol he has a wonderful stage presence and voice. He will probably win this thing and I will not soon forget any of his moments on stage.

#2. Danny, I love him and his voice and he's not forgettable.

#3. Allison, she rocks every time she is on stage. Consistent and different than any of the guys. I really like her.

#4. Kris, Original and I like his voice. He seems like an American Idol but I think his presence is forgettable.

#5. Matt

I really like Anoop...I mean he is young and fresh and very "different". I would have thought with the popularity of "slumdog" American would be more receptive to someone of Middle Eastern decent.
I think he has a good voice and having kids his age the J Crew/Hollister look is really "hot". Amy and her friends just LOVE him LOL!!!

Maybe its me but I get the impression that Lil, Kris and Matt all really have to "work" at things...I mean it just doesn't flow out of them as easily as it does for Adam, Danny and Allison.

So far I think I am definately voting off Lil....now who else??

I don't think his Asian ethnicity is why Anoop winds up in the bottom. I think it's an attitude thing. He has been emotional when criticized and the audience always shows they don't like that. They prefer people to take criticism with a stoic smile and a Thank you.

The ones I really like don't win (except Fantasia, who went on to make sucky music).

I liked Bo, he didn't win.

I liked Tamyra. She didn't win.

I liked Nadia Turner. Nowhere near winning.

I liked Blake. He didn't win.

I like Adam...

Well we'll see what happens. Is America ready for the glam gay Elvis? I'm ready. Although I was disappointed last night that Adam wasn't wearing eyeliner and a spectacular costume and didn't bust out some disco anthem and kill it. He has toned himself down (straightened up, as Randy said) for this show, and that's too bad.

Everyone else on this show this season bores me.

I'm bored with the show in general after so many seasons. The amateur-hour nature of it is boring. I loved the star search show where INXS was looking for a new lead singer. They got some fantastic professional but not famous performers on that show and it was electrifying to watch. That's what I want to see more of. Not seasons full of Anoops.

I like Danny the best, but I think Adam will win. My second pick is Alison, but she just desn't have the audience backing. then Adam for me. Then Anoop. Then Matt (only cause he's from Kalamazoo, which is where I work and pretty close to home) They can send Lil and Chris home far as I am concerned. I don't get the Chris thing personally, unless he is getting the youth vote. Sure he has a nice voice, but he is boring IMHO.
I love Danny, and I don't think he is getting sympathy votes anymore. He just has a great raspy, cool sound. Love him. That said, I still think that Adam will win. But that Alison, man she is dynamite!

Geez, my gaydar missed Adam. What was I thinking? He is just amazing.

If you google Adam images and search his name on Youtube you'll find lots of juicy stuff.

I'm seeing a final between Adam and Danny; not so sure anymore how it would end. I can't believe Allyson was in the bottom 3 and not Matt, that judge's save influenced the voting public I think.

Gina, yes there were quite a few videos of Adam on youtube that might clear up any questions about Adam's sexual persuasion. I should have known when I saw the eye makeup. Oh well, whatever floats your boat. He is an astounding talent. Some of the youtube videos are better than anything he has done on Idol. At first I thought he was a little too "Broadway" (in fact he has done a lot of musical theater), but now I am a huge fan.

At dinner last night our waitress was talking up idol and it hit me that I haden't voted yet so I voted for Anoop and Matt....so I got it half right??

It really broke my heart to vote off Anoop because I really like him (can you tell) but I just can't see him going much farther in the competition.

What is the theme next week??

To me I am growing a little tired of the shrill screaming Adam inserts into every song....last night he didn't need to scream the song didn't call for it.
I bet he would find a way to scream in Amazing Grace too LOL!
I mean no disrespect....I "like" Adam and I am fully aware that America "loves" him but when he changes the song to make it his own, he is simply adding that high pitch power scream into the rip. He is good at it but please tone it down a tad.
I am a huge Queen fan so I see a lot of Freddie Mercury in Adam. He has that same Freddie style and passion with a lot of Elvis sex appeal. I think he's hot but I'd really like to see him sing a quiet tender song.

So yea I am afraid tonight its Matt.

It's so hard to guess who might win. It's as much a popularity contest as a talent contest. Maybe even more. I mean really, Taylor Hicks?? I think Adam, Alison and Danny have absolutely amazing talent and will go far no matter where they fall in this contest. Kris has the kind of appeal that makes young girls swoon, so they could carry him through.

I have to say that i love watching this show on TiVo. You can watch everything you really care to see or hear in about 20 minutes out of 60. For the eliiminations, I just go straight to the end.

That was the most enjoyable show of the season - everyone did their best.

I think Allison has raw talent but I can't stand her breathy mush-mouth. "Sssahwha-hooh-whaaaahh-ohah-hmeeeee" What? She need to get a good coach who will fine-tune that instrument of hers, but she ain't there yet in voice or maturity.

Chris and Danny did well. I think even Matt did well, but he tries too hard with all the melisma and falsetto thrown in. He just can't keep it simple for trying so hard - and that hat is old already.

Adam? I don't think Adam knows what he wants to be. Or I get the feeling he knows darn well what he wants to be - a Broadway diva who lets loose and blows the roof off the theater every night - but that doesn't win AI so he's been trying all kinds of style-stuff, but it isn't cohesive.

(In my fantasies Adam is in full costume and makeup and plays every character (except Munchkins) in a disco Wizard of Oz. TMI? LOL.)

Adam not being theatrical is like asking a cow not to mooo - oh! Simon is so cheeky.

AI is a generic pop star mill - everyone is diluted down to the most bland level. I don't think I could handle seeing that happen to someone as unique as Adam. I am still sad about the bland-hip-hopization of Fantasia.

Thats a good question!! There is no one out there in mainstream America like Adam-with his talent he is a one man wrecking machine.
As a 40 something, middle class, mom I love him and I would prob pay to see him in something like a casino revue type setting with full on costume changes and a high energy performance-much like Elvis!!

Pam....Drewy taped the show for me so I was able to FF thru and watch it in about 15 minutes!!

Everyone has to go home but one so my guess is Allison next week, Kris then Adam and Danny as the final 2.

Good point, Gina. Adam doesn't quite fit neatly in any category. Who is that talented, that handsome and also gay? George Michael? Nah.

I agree that this season has a lot of great talent.

This show has an astounding number of commercials. More ads than show.

I would like to see Chris go home next. Nice voice, but not much personality. Personally, although I like Adam, I don't really see him as a American Idol. I would like to see Allisona and Danny fight it out. There is some really good talent this year, and there is no denying that Adam can do anything well. However, I love Danny and Allison.

OMG -- that duet by Adam and Alison! That was amazing! Kris and Danny may as well have stayed home. Adam's solo was incredible, too. What a talent.

I am really enjoyng this season. I may even vote!

I've been voting for Adam for the last 1 1/2 hrs.
He is just awesome, never misses a note and knows how to entertain. He's been my favorite since the first time I heard him.

The duet with Alison was wonderful. I'm pulling for Alison to come in 2nd.

I was so sorry to see Allison go. It may actually be good for her since she can go on and have a career without the American Idol winner stigma. I hope she succeeds. I really like her.

I checked Dial Idol to see their prediction and they predicted Allison to go.

Is the show delayed for the west coast? It was on 8 -9 here (east coast), so that would be awfully early in the west.

It's a total carp shoot from here. The tweens might vote Kris in honestly, he might fit the AI mold the best.

Yes, it's delayed. So if you don't want to know who gets offed on any of these shows or who wins, etc. you have to not watch TV or go online for 3 hours!

Pam, I think Adam is way beyond Danny and Chris..tonight I think Danny may be going home. I voted again last night for an hour...all for Adam.

Adam has been in a league of his own from the start.

Danny and Kris are both good in their own way. Danny has improved since the beginning. Initially I thought he was there because he was receiving the symphathy vote. They certainly improved his look. It doesn't matter to me which one, Danny or Kris ends up in the final as long as Adam wins.

What a cool show!!

I think he is the total package....cool enough for the guys, sexy enough for the ladies(and some guys too LOL)!!

There has never been anyone like him on Idol.

Based on last night performances I sadly have to vote off Danny tonight....and he was my front runner in our office pool!! So I have no chance of winning any cash LOL!!

I'm with you , Susie. This has been an outstanding season. No Taylor Hickses to suffer through. I think Kris will go tonight, although I can't say why. I guess all we can do is wait and see. I tried to vote for Adam but couldn't get through.

I just can;t get enough of listening to Adam.

I actually didn't care for Adam's renditions of the 2 songs last night. But he is still a bright blazing star.

I don't even remember what Danny sang. Snooze.

I was not a Kris fan and his first song showed some serious vocal limitations, but his second song was the best he has ever done on Idol, and may save his bacon and get him in the top 2. I would like that.

So Kris's bacon was saved. I thought he would go but he does have a certain appeal for those who are attracted to squeaky clean types. Who knows, he may win. I think Adam is secure in a strong career and could be the Jennifer Hudson of these season if he loses.

That show was soooo boring with all the hometown stuff. Once again, I thank my lucky stars for TiVo. Zipped through everything but the Kissed a Girl person singing and the results. Oh -- and the young girl who won before (having a hard times with names this morning). She looked great and I liked her song. Aaargh -- what is her name????

That was Jordin Sparks. She's lost weight and looks like she may have even had face work - I hope not.

gina, you're right, something different with Spark's face, can't quite figure it out. The song was Battlefield, Battlefield; she was pretty intense with the hair and the singing, so different than her idol personae.

I've been hit or miss this season but I catch up watching on the net. I wish Alison would have made it farther than she did. Love her raspy voice. Danny was okay but I'm glad to see Chris and Adam in the final. Not sure who would sell the most to the general public though. I love old time rock and Daughtry did pretty good. I have one of his CD's Underwood sure has set the bar high for past Idol's with her tenth number one from two CDs. Adam is too cool though... a little Mercury (rock), Cher(costumes), and Kate Bush with the vocals and a unique artistic syle for me. He will go far IMHO.

Adam fans should be careful...I think lot of Adam fans will just assume he is going to win and forget to vote thus allowing Kris to slip to the top vote so if you really want him to win make sure you vote!!

By the way, what was with the Adam Lambert cape?? I kept expecting the other two names to pop up somewhere in that perfomance.

I'll have to look more carefully at Jordin to see if she's had some work done. If she did, it worked because she looked lovely. However, plastic surgery to improve the looks of a teenager seems uncalled for.

That silly Kelly Pickler had a ton of work done including her boobs. Before she just acted like an idiot, now she look like one, too.

I guess Carrie Underwood is my all-time favorite AI contestant. She is whole package along with appearing to be a very nice person.

I am looking forward to seeing where Adam goes from here. Kris may have a short career as a teenage heart throb.

So Dial Idol's official prediction puts Kris ahead by a teensy hair. As Meredith Viera said this morning, Kris is more mainstream and commercial than Adam and therefore more likely to win. Duh -- Adam is definitely not mainstream.

Some of the videos floating around out there of Adam could work against him, for sure.

The final performances of the Dancing with the Stars were terrific, too. I did not realize Shawn Johnson is only 17! She was great, but I actually thought Gilles was the best.

I was glued to the TV last night for Am Idol and will be again tonight. One thing that impressed me...they both agreed that they were already winners and it really doesn't matter who comes in first. They will both be huge stars.

I tried for two hours to vote, only got thru about 25 times. I was voting for Adam and I really think he deserves the win after single handed making Am Idol an exciting show to watch. Kris is good, but in a boring way.

I barely watched this season past the initial auditions because I found the new format too tiring. But in watching the finale (which I'm glad I did!) my pick was the same as it was back then: As an overall package, Danny by a long shot. Of course I didn't see what happened in between.

Wow, what a show. Congrats to Kris, he does seem like a nice guy. I think I enjoyed his performances more last night than any other night. Adam is still my fave and I can't wait to hear more from him.

Funny how many of the previous contestants I had already forgotten. I couldn't name half of them. Fame is fleeting!

So now what do I do on Tuesday and Wednesday evenings?? I wish Mad Men would come back.

I still have Make Me a Supermodel and I understand Project Runway will return soon. Just call me American Loser.

I'm not surprised Kris won, as it was said above, more mainstream; I think Adam expected it somewhat. This season would not have been as interesting without him, I'm disappointed he did not win, but in a way he has, by being different and by staying himself throughout.

It was a wonderful show, I totally enjoyed it.

I voted in my office pool while on the way to meet with the realtor and I voted for Kris to win.
The fellow running it texted me back and asked if I was sure because everyone else was voting for Adam so I told him Kris yes Kris.

I ended up placing 5th out of 26 so I am pleased although I did not win any cash LOL!!

I missed the first hour but made it home for the Queen and Kiss performance....OMG!!! Adam would be perfect in either band!! I think Brian May (the guitarist from Queen) saw that Adam would be perfect too!!

In regard to the voting...I thing that a lot of folks just assumed Adam would win and so they did not vote-or maybe they tried to vote but got a busy signal and figured he was going to win....shame because he really was fantastic.

Yes Adam did get America to watch Idol again and he deserves praise for that!!

The part of the show I saw was really good! Amy taped the whole thing so after my chores I will sit and watch.

Looks like Jon and Kate are back on with their show (I bet it'll be tough to watch) and it only a few short weeks till Big Brother-my personal fave reaity show starts!! Hopefully with Julie Chen preggers they'll get someone with a personality to host it this time!! LOL!!

I forgot to mention Kara! She was great. She really had guts (and nice flat abs)to do that. I didn't know she sings so well. Bikini Girl really made a laughing stock of herself when she walked out with her new water balloons, er I mean implants.

I wonder if the Jon and Kate as cheaters was set up to renew interest in the show? Honestly, if I were Jon, I'd do more than cheat. I'd be out of there. She treats him like dirt -- unless that's part of the script, too.

Another bland Idol. I hope Adam makes a killer first album and doesn't blow it with rushing out a mediocre one. Doing that killed many Idol careers. Although I'm sure it is largely out of their hands.

That show was horrendous. I hate the audition crap and bringing out old farts trying to sell new albums. Steve Martin?! Rod Stewart looked so bad, and he ain't THAT old. He was stumbling around looking and sounding totally geezer. Ugh. If that's advertising for his new album and tour he didn't do himself any favors.

At least Gene Simmons can hide his ugly mug with all the makeup.
