As a user stuck on an antique DUN I recognize your concern regarding your e-mail. It is my guess you are not speaking of your e-mail in general, but rather e-mails that are graphic intensive or have photo attachments. Since you are on a DUN it will make little difference if you convert to a web-based account or not. Your system will still have to download the e-mails and their attachments into a temporary file for the web-based client to open them. There are a couple of things that you can do, but I am going to wait to see if my assumption is correct. I do as Gene reports and automatically purge my deleted e-mail upon closing Windows Mail, and previously OE. However, if you decide to enroll in this option once the e-mail is deleted it is gone forever. If Windows ever wants to compact your e-mail allow it to do so. DA

With MS Office 2007 or 2000 just open Outlook and the setup window appears. Probably the same for other versions. Follow along and at some point you will probably be asked if you wish to make Outlook your default mail handler.

be very careful with incredimail! it does it's own spamming and calls home from your pc which is the part I do not like, I would be sure to set firewall to block. Wondering who you are sending it to. Thats HUGE - I would be upset if someone sent me that without asking me. That really is too big for emails. That size picture I would upload to a file server & just give a link to it. To big for even a standard webpage view. Maybe you might like something like Dropbox which is a sync'd folder on your computer with an online server. Then people could view or download it from the web by clicking a web link.
