Deleting and Outlook

Okay, I'm trying everything and I can't get this solved.

My computer came pre-installed with Outlook Express 6. I don't want it. And it really bothers me because it's my default email whenever I try to send a webpage or right click on a file on my desktop and click send to mail reciprocant. EVEN THOUGH I've set my gmail to be my default.

I've called the company that makes it and the company that makes my computer but no one really knew how to get it off and it was going to cost me $30 if I wanted to keep on with them, since my warranty is up.

It didn't show up in programs when I went to control panel to remove it but it was there in add/remove window's components and I went through the process a few times but it's just not going away.

Then, I found this: http://support.microsoft.com/kb/263837

But when I got to #3 and right clicked on the registry keys, the delete thing wasn't active. It wouldn't let me delete it from the pull down thing too b/c it wasn't active.

Is there a tool that lets you just delete whatever you want without permission from your computer?

Or is there something that will actually remove this stupid program?
