Great house!!! I love the wall paper....what a shame it's so wrong for those rooms! That blue and yellow with the beige tile is beyond!

On the subject of wallpaper, I'm dreading the task of taking down the wallpaper in my house. It took me one week to do just the commode room, not even the entire guest bath.

I am glad I am not the only one that thought the kitchen wall paper was wrong with that tile. The really great thing about this house is that we will have almost an acre of land in the middle of the city. I am already dreaming of the garden that we will be able to plant this spring.

What a beautiful house and yard. Your dogs will love it. I just became a grand mom to 2 long haired doxies, a black and tan mini male( his parents were a long haired mini male and a short hired smooth haired standard size female) His name is Coal.The little female is a piebald standard .( Body is white with big black polka dots, black and tan mask with a white stripe up between the eyes. Her legs are white with streaks of black and tan. Her name is Sugarfoot.

It is lovely. What I noticed most was all that counter space in the kitchen, that's great! There will be plenty of room for your dogs to run around too. Congrats!

By the way.... it's too clean in the pictures... there should be a little clutter around to make it feel homey. Hopefully, you'll fix that when you move in :o)

Beautiful house AND yard! Love the big trees! Love the big windows and fireplaces! Love the big kitchen. Although I love the yellow wallpaper, I could just not deal with that much perkiness every day in my kitchen, lol! Just my personality though. Mine is a muted grey/blue, doesn't stimulate me too much in the morning and when I get home from work! For some people that might have been just the right atmosphere in there.

Oh I forgot to say, HAVE FUN AND ENJOY making the new digs your home!

Thanks for sharing, but we need more views of the kitchen - I could not find a cooktop or an oven. I'm sure they're there somewhere, but I could not figure out the work triangle. Also, I did not see any bedrooms or bathrooms, and I know they're there too!

I like that you have an informal breakfast area plus a more formal dining area. It looks like the semi-formal dining area is not a separate room (Mine isn't either). I used to prefer formal dining rooms that had four walls, but my taste has changed. Traffic flow is a lot easier when it is more open.

I'll also be interested to see how it looks in six months or so after you have redecorated. What state are you in?

What a pretty house. So much space and it looks like a great flow. I love that fireplace. The garden is so pretty and looks well kept.

Yes please get rid of the kitchen wall paper first. Too loud and it does not match the tile. Also be sure the current owners take the two plastic outdoor chairs with them.

Lars, we are in Lafayette,Indiana, about 60 miles north of Indianapolis. Go COLTS!!!! And yes, I am in a constant state of confusion right now. The house has 3 bedrooms and 3 1/2 baths. The wallpaper in one of the baths is as bad as the kitchen. The kitchen has double ovens and a 30" cook top. I forgot to take my camera the last time I was over there, so the photo's are the realtor's. The plastic chairs are long gone, as the house has been empty since Aug.

My biggest problem is the moving date. It is the day after the Super Bowl. Someone else is just going to have to have the party this time.

Thanks for clearing that up Linda, and I had no idea that the Colts were in Indiana! I thought they were in Baltimore, FSR. I asked the question mainly because I wanted to know what growing season you were in.

How nice that you have double ovens - I would love that myself. I still want to see the cooktop - I love pictures of those and didn't realize that until I couldn't find yours!

Very, very nice house... that yard and grass is fabulous. Looks like a nice sized lot. Are you in an addition or out in the country? I still have wallpapper I want to get rid off and it's been two years since I've moved. I know it can be easy or a PIA depending how the drywall was treated before putting it up. Best of luck with that issue. Congrats to your Colts too!

Funny about wallpaper isn't it..I think it's one of those things people either like or don't regardless of the pattern / design sometimes.

Love the house and the yard. If the walls were properly treated before papering, the paper should come off pretty easily. Hope for your sake they were. Best wishes to you in your new home.

Regarding the wallpaper:

Wallpaper is synonymous with heritage home motif. In classic wallpaper design, the patterns tend to be larger and have a lot more personality. While the basic house design is not classic, however, the furnishings in the photo are all of period style, and are very much in keeping with the classic vocabulary of wallpaper use.

I will agree, the wallpaper will have to be changed if the interior design is contemporary.
