That is a product that was called Cyberhawk which PC Tools bought, changed up and renamed to Threatfire (Novatix Cyberhawk (www.novatix.com)). I have looked it over and read a lot of reviews on the forums by users and testers. I chose not to include it in my layered protection plan because many of the reviews stated it is resource hungry, it uses up a lot of the cpu, and also it often causes conflicts if you have other similar programs running because they are all trying to do the same thing and some use the same registry items.
It works similar to a hips, it watches behavior hence the cpu usage. Many said it caused their machine to slow to a crawl.
Also unfortunately PC Tools has had a bit of a bad history with some of their other products, Spyware Doctor for example caused many some serious problems with having to wipe clean and reformat and re-install windows.
Now of course things run different on different computers and different programs so feel free to give it a try and see how it goes.

One thing I like to do besides reading up on the various forums about a product I am considering is to go to the actual support forum for the product itself to see how many problems/ issues are mentioned in the forum, here is the one for threatfire.

I had also heard that PC Tools was going to end threatfire as a stand alone and incorporate it into one of it's security suites and I see that question was asked on the forum and not answered by the admin, so it could be that it will not be available for too much longer.

Anyway long answer to your short question LOL Each person has to decide on their own, personally I choose not to include it but I do have a good layered protection already.
