the question of when is more attuned to when your SHOULD do it.. rather than IF you can do it ... let me suggest .. in your z7 ... that august is NOT when ... it just gets too hot during the day.... but more importantly ... it has the potential to stay too hot at night ... no recovery period .... see link ... and shoot for getting stock in late sept or so.. for your zone.. IMHO ... and perhaps even later ... perhaps someone more local to z7 can speak to more precise timing .... your odds of success will go down fast.. if you are going to rely on bigboxstore plants bought in august .... again.. it can be done anytime... i am talking about when it is much more forgiving ... also ... these have very aggressive roots... if buying potted.. and large... odds are.. they could be very root bound in the pot ... and in opening up the root system.. again... august will not be the best time to do that ... you might also want to call your county extension office.. and ask if there are any local considerations with juniper diseases .... though the pic you shows.. doenst seem to indicate such ... its not commonly available because it is a very old plant ... like cars.. most peeps want the newest and best ... but there is nothing wrong with the old standards.. if you can find them .... though it wont matter in your zone.. i have had snowload issues on this plant.. in case some snow bunnies are lurking a dreaming up ideas ... and finally .... size does matter when dealing with getting a transplant ESTABLISHED ... a smaller transplant will GET OVER IT... and start growing more vigorously.. than a very large transplant... and perhaps.. could outgrow a larger plant in say 3 to 5 years ... IMHO ... i would shoot for something in the 3 to 4 foot range ... If you drain the duct, it will dry out. Just make sure the insulation is opened to dry too. As long as the area under the vanity is 100% sealed, just place a register or grill at the toe kick. If you need more air, move the duct to the floor and size as needed.

It's got a bit of strong language, but not so awful bad.. I've heard lots worse out of some drama queen potty mouths on other boards.
