GW member can't see the latest pages.

I had a member write me saying she cannot see any new posts beyond Mar 3rd at the Seed X.

Not sure what browser she is using. I just emailed her and asked that.

To get the the Seed X she types in gardenweb.com, and then follows the links to the Seed X,

I asked if she had cleaned her computer lately...awaiting answer.

I suggested she log off GW, and turn her computer off and then back on. I'm awaiting word back.

Might anyone else have any ideas? She also said, "I did go in a few days ago to post and it said that it was posted but when I went back to see my post...it wasn't there....only March3rd and back listings."

Even when I was banned (under the Spike regime for no reason and we won't go into that now...lol), I could see all of the posts.

Ideas? I know this member and feel certain she was not banned...at least not intentionally.

Tell her to clear her internet cache.
She probably crashed and corrupted it on march 3rd.

(she may have to run something like CCleaner to fix it)

Accessories
system tools
disk clean up

assuming she is Windows XP and using IE?

Please remember, I am challenged and I'm not sure of her level of skill.

I have not heard back yet. I wonder if she maybe totally crashed.

Welcome to Garden Web. I thought you might like to know there is no email link on your member page, thus no way to email you. To set up your email, just go to the bottom on any page here, and click on Member Pages Then click on Edit your Personal Information, Page, and Preferences You will then probably be asked to login in again. Once there, set the drop down box to Show my email address to MEMBERS And then check the box Allow other users to send you email via forms at our site. That will place a link on your member page, and will also show your email address to anyone you email about a trade. Happy Gardening and trading. Sue

Looking at the code it seems the link is coded as a form button instead of a hyperlink. That's why there's no right click or no new tab/window.

you need to read the info that is with the monitor and see what resolution settings it takes then you need to go into the settings properties in your windows 7 and change the resolution settings to match what your monitor requires. That'll work provided there is a check mark next to Temporary Internet Files.

Thanks Mikie...I'll update you if/when I ever hear back from her. I have a feeling she may be dead in the water by now.

Ok...Update as I promised.

She emailed me and said she emptied her cache and that did it.

Woohoo!

I love the folks at this forum.
