Starting a 2hp compressor on an extension cord using 120v source is asking a lot. Does the motor have an option to allow it to run on 240v instead? If it did, I would use that option. I had a Sears 1hp compressor that would not start on an extension cord with the normal cut-in tank pressure. I finally got a new 2hp compressor using 240v. It will start on a 50' extension cord with even higher cut-in pressures. If you can't go with 240v, check your line voltage at the plug outlet to see what happens when it tries to start. The label says it has 512 MB of memory. I'm not sure which memory this is referring to, but if it is the RAM on the motherboard, it could use an upgrade. Windows XP likes to have 2 Gigabyte (2 GB) or more. You are using a wireless router on a DSL sevice. Make sure that your wireless router is secured so that someone else within range can't horn in and ride piggyback on your connection for free. The more computers using the connection, the slower it gets for any one computer. The next potential bottle neck is the DSL service. If this is over a phone line, it may not be a large jump in speed over a standard dial-up service. A good connection does have marked improvement in speed, but a troublesome connection looses much speed advantge. Consider taking the computer to a shop or friend and try on their lines. Another problem, if over a phone line, is a noisy line. Thw phone company can test your phone line for quality. Make sure that you tell the technicam that this line will be used for internet service. If over a phone line, another bottleneck can be the phone company. It may not have installed equipemnt capable of high speed data transfer. If you have a friend who has a high speed cable connection with a wireless router, you may want to try your computer on his connection. Have the computer checked out at a computer shop to discover if it is the computer or the DSL service to your house.

It has a link there after you highlight the event that takes you to a microsoft support page for the error details -- which may or may not have a known solution. Plus sometimes if you look on the Details tab for the event, you might get a hint of what program might be conflicting or some other piece of info that aims you in the general direction of what might be wrong. Sounds like maybe its one of the popular conflicts with a plug-in. Fairly easy to run from the start menu 'system tools/InternetExplorer(no plug-ins) Which means if that works all the time,,, you can go to Internet Options/ 'Manage add ons' .... and disable all of them,,,,, then turn them back on one at a time until you discover which one is the bad guy.

First if you're connected to a modem and router, un-plug them both for a min or so. Replug the modem in. Wait for all lights to come up and then re-plug router in. See if the helps. Note: If you are running on Vista, right-click on the file and choose Run As Administrator TFC will close all programswhen run, so make sure you have saved all your work before you begin * Click the Start button to begin the cleaning process. * Depending on how often you clean temp files, execution time should be anywhere from a few seconds to a minute or two. * Please let TFC run uninterrupted until it is finished. Once TFC is finished it should restart your computer. If it does not, please manually restart the computer yourself to ensure a complete cleaning.
