On question #1 I enter POP3.yourisp.com (if you have trouble try removing the 3 in POP3) - then SMTP.yourisp.com

Question #2. This is simply an attachment added or appended to the email. They can be videos, PowerPoint shows, text (txt) messages or anything else. To open any of these attachments the recipient simply double clicks on the attachment.

To attach a file create your outgoing email, click the paperclip icon at the top (or click Insert and File attachment) In the new menu browse to the file you want, click to highlight, click Attach . Done.

For account:
In Windows Live Mail, go down in the left corner and click on "Add an e-mail account" and follow the instructions from there.
Also, the Help feature gives you a step by step on how and what you should do.
In your Gmail account, make sure you have POP Enabled, IMAP, etc. etc. before you do your steps in Windows Live.

zep516, I tried to go to your link but for some unknown reason it wouldn't open and then my computer hung up. So I shut down and restarted my computer and everything went back to normal. Don't know why it did that either. I haven't tried it since that happened it was getting to late and I needed to get off of the computer.

owbist, I do know how to place an attachment into an email but what I was wondering is how do these people do the video thing. I don't think I am making myself clear enough so please bear with me. When I receive an email (lets say from my niece) she sends me an attachment to a video and when I click on it the video starts playing in my media player. What I am trying to find out is: Did they create the .wmv themselves or are they getting it off of a website, then sending it to me? What I was trying to find out is how is the .wmv created? Do you need special software to do the videos? I know I am asking a lot of questions here but I'm not sure which is the right question. Ha!

.wmv files are created with lots of cameras both still and video cams and of course can be downloaded from many people posting them on the web.

I make some with a stantard usb webcam and Vista's / Programs / Windows Meda/windows media encoder. Pretty simple, only looks complicated.

I think Mikie is right, it might be pretty simple but the enthusiasm needs to be there. We created this in our living room with only 2 tries. The cameraman had only recently bought his digital movie camera and had no practice but we made it. The secret - which I do not know - is getting the file size down to an acceptable level without compromising the quality too much. Luckily my next door neighbour teaches graphic arts at a respected college and helps maintain 5,000 Macs, he reduced the file size for us.

The person sending you the email can send just the actual link to a video that is hosted on some site such as youtube or they can embed the video itself into the email or they can attach the video file to the email. Doing the last 2 usually is not as good because those files are rather large and can really bog down some email clients, I much prefer to send just a url link to the video itself which is somewhere on the web. Hosting sites are available to store your videos on, youtube is just one of many.
