dreamweaver css question

The html forum is filled with posts on other subjects like roses, so I have to post here. I am taking a class in dreamweaver. I have a trail version installed. I have an assignment to create new css styles and apply them to text and photos, but the text and photos won't accept the css styles. I keep making new styles, but I can not get them accepted to those elements. I must be doing something really simple wrong. Here is a link to website I am making.

Your web page is validated in CSS and in HTML. But there are a few warnings, warnings are not errors.

In CSS your fonts Lucida Sans Regular, Lucida Grande and geneva are not recognised.

In HTML your last 2 images have no 'alt' designation. Alt is where you use a written description of the images so those who have images turned off know what they are missing. Dial ups would turn off images to speed internet surfing and you need to advise those people about the images they do not see.

"rhod" and "alice" for images 1 and 2 is woefully inadequate but"Beautiful orange Rhodo in bloom" might encourage me to allow images to see your blooms if I were still on dial up.

Is Dreamweaver a WYSIWYG program? (What you see is what you get) or a 'drag and drop' approach?

If you are only creating one web site for your own enjoyment you might consider something like the free program 1st Page 2000 or it's newer brother 1st Page 2006 to save seemingly a large sum of money. Your choice of course. Whilst this is not drag and drop it can be very easy to do, you can select one of three levels of expertise so that as you improve you raise to the next level up.

First off, Adobe has a peer-to-peer support forum for Dreamweaver (and their other products) that might be better suited for this kind of question. You'll want to include the version of DW you are using along with your operating system.

I'm hardly an expert on CSS but it seems the page is displaying as it is coded to (at least in Firefox 3 on Vista). The fonts appear correct in size, color, and location. The image have a double line around them.

A couple of personal notes. I'd suggest sticking with the common fonts -- Arial, Times New Roman, Courier, etc. If the user doesn't have Lucida installed, then the user doesn't see what you designed. My personal preference is for lighter background colors as well. I just think they are easier to view.

The short answer to your questions is yes - all of that is compostable. Most of what you identified would be considered "greens". You'll also need the browns. To keep the flies at bay keep the greens covered with browns. For some more info, start with the link below from the FAQ page. Emerald Spire: Nominal 20' x 7 feet; Purple spire Nominal 16' x 5-6' Midnight Spire. I expect to be similar to purple. These 3 are from Jeffries and are closely related. Pink Spire is much wider. The first 3 are very vase shaped with the widest point at the top. all have apples about the size of a quarter. Most of the apples fall withing 2 feet of the trunk. Royal Mist and Gladiator are both upright ovals getting about 10 feet wide by 20 feet tall. Royal Mist has deeper pink flowers, and matt finish leaves, while gladiator has glossy leaves. Gladiator has an overall impression of being more red. Both are marble sized apples. Green wall is an extremely columnar tree about 16' x 3 feet. Follow the directions below we can see what is running: Click Here to download HJTInstall.exe Download the Installer on that page Version 2.02 right hand side click Installer.. I'm not convinced that human greenhouse gas production is going to damage the environment significantly, but I think it needs more study. ************ We are in complete agrement here. I do not believe that the CO2 from burning wood is going to destroy the planet. But many kooks do. And fireplace woodsmoke doesn't go that high into the atmosphere to cause damage. So we are on the exact same page. My point is that we are experiencing global warming, and we can do nothing about it as we now see on other planets. This lends a lot of credibility to the theory that the SUN is causing it. As it has many times before. Because we in Vermont and you in Connecticut at one time were under sheets of ice sometimes a mile thick. And I still ask: What caused the massive "global warming" that melted those glaciers 10,000 years ago? It wasn't my Ford Expedition or MSBROOKS fireplace.

I was able to fix the problem by making the properties of the elements appear in the side windows then changing them manually. They do to want to take when you select and apply.
