Well Jack, you are wrong, again! I did not "do a search for 'are there any vegetables that critters will not eat' when you already knew the answer was no". You see, after I finished reading all of these wonderful and informative comments, I did further research and LEARNED (because I am still capable of admitting I don't know everything) that deer/critters in one area will eat some things while deer/critters in other areas eat other things and that most vegetables will ultimately be subject to deer/critter consumption. But you have to admit you have a way of going off topic.

I really like the 350, I have two of them. Versatile little saws. What you describe is what people tell me happens to them when I let them borrow the saws without supervision. They are VERY touchy saws and easy to flood. But it sounds like a perfectly working saw since it's cutting well after starting. It could just be a starting procedure problem. Try this; 1. If the saw is warm (you shut it off less than 10 minutes ago) then just press up on the red kill switch and start it. 2. If it's been off for only 20 minutes or so, pull out the blue choke lever and push it back in. Don't touch the trigger. This will leave it in fast idle; start it and let it run on fast idle for 5-10 seconds. 3. On a COLD SAW (this sounds like your problem): a) pull out blue choke b) unlock the chain brake (saw on ground, hold it with your foot on the handgrip) c) press the fuel bulb about 5 times (more doesn't hurt, it just circulates) d) pull the recoil till it "stumbles": IT WILL NOT START and DO NOT PULL AGAIN after this. It will only do this stumble one time. If it's winter (32F) it may run 1-2 seconds and die. DON'T PULL THE RECOIL AGAIN. This is very important. Even one pull extra will flood it as you describe. e) Push in the blue choke and do not touch the trigger. If you touch the trigger it turns off the 'high idle'. f) Pull the recoil and start it. It should not take more than 5 pulls. DON'T touch the trigger even after it starts. g) Let it run on high idle with the chain spinning for 5-10 seconds. h) Now you can pull the trigger and use it normally. Steps (d) and (g) sound like the missing steps in your starting sequence. You shouldn't need to monkey around with the sparkplug to start it. It's touchy I know, but if you get used to it you will probably like the 350, it's a great saw.

I'm one who likes to be a guest when I am a guest, and likes to be the hostess and treat my guests as guests when I'm hostess. In other words, I feel no compulsion to help clean up at others' homes, and I do not allow my guests to help clean up at my house. I tell people point blank, I wish to do my own dishes and that they are guests and should have a seat and let me worry about the dishes. I will usually do a quick rinse/organization of dishes but not a real clean up or loading of the DW. Now, as to your friend, here's how I'd handle it, since she's already in this habit. Next time she gets up with her plate, I'd immediately get up and meet her in the kitchen. As soon as she put her plate down, I'd give her a hug, and then instead of fully releasing the hug, I'd hold her at the shoulders or arms so that we were eye to eye. Then I'd say something like, "Debbie, You are such a sweetheart to always help me with the dishes. I appreciate your thoughtfulness! But to be honest, it makes me very uncomfortable for you to be doing that here. You're the guest, and I actually prefer to do my own clean up in my kitchen, just because I like to do things my own way. So please, sit down, and enjoy the gathering, and don't give clean up another thought." This accomplishes a couple of things. First of all, it doesn't make her feel bad because you start out by saying how nice she is. Holding her close as you speak sends the message that this is a serious talk, not just a polite aside. It's also done in the kitchen, away from the other guests. If she still insists, I'd take her by the hand and lead her back to her seat. In other words, be gentle, complimentary, sweet, etc, but FIRM.

High end vinyl also doesnt contain lead or any dangerous metals that cause toxic off gassing. The products used to maintain wood windows are much more toxic and dangerous to your health, not to mention they are more harmful to the environment than high end vinyl. The propaganda regarding the dangers of vinyl are NOT only terribly outdated but completely false. All those studies are from the 1980's and early 90's. In fact your studies are from 1989 and 1994 and they were conducted by Green Peace ? A Green Peace study has about as much credibility as a study from the university of Helsinki. Notice all the new studies say the complete opposite? Of course guys like you would never post that. The higher end vinyl windows dont contain any plasticizers either. This is the same type of vinyl that is now used in europe.
