Vanity top help!! Vessel, counter+undermount sink, all in one?

I'm bewildered (again), this time by the idea of having to choose a bathroom vanity/vanity top/sink. I am planning to order a 24" wide, 21" deep vanity cabinet along with my kitchen cabinets for simplicity's sake (I want the same stain and door style as my kitchen cabinets), and now I'm trying to figure out what to put on top.

I LOVE vessel sinks, but this is our only bathroom (thus high use) and I have a feeling that I would grow tired of cleaning up splashes on the countertop very quickly. I think I would prefer an "all-in-one" top, but I am a little confused as to what size I would need - I think 24x21 is a pretty standard vanity size but I'm not finding a lot of tops that exact size - is there supposed to be some extra width for overhang or something? Should I decide what top I want before I order the vanity? Suggestions appreciated - thank you!
