I took videos with my camera and am wondering if they can all be put in one. some are very short so I'd like them all in one. They were all taken on same occasion.

You should be able to use Windows Movie Maker to do this. I haven't done it but someone can help if you have problems.

Thanks for the compliments. I actually was referring to the fact that I collected a large amount of information on figs in Turkey. I wish would have been to spend more time doing a longer video with more information on the subject.

Depending on the age, brand and type of each piece of equipment, what is needed could be a some combination of several different and available plugs/cables/adapters. Without knowing and seeing what you're trying to connect, there's no way to answer your question. To my knowledge, the only "connection type" involving PCs that carries sound AND video is HDMI. Otherwise, you're looking at two connections, one for video and one for audio. What's used for audio out from a PC is usually the headphone jack, using a mini (3.5 mm) plug. The other end could be another mini plug, or RCA plugs, depending on the type of input sockets available on what it's connecting to. What kind of amplifier or sound system do you intend to connect to? Is the projector part of a TV system (and so it has sound too) or are you connecting the sound to something separate?

I will add another vote for Windows Movie Maker. If you have XP or Vista - you already have it. It is free and it is a great video editor.

Just import your videos into WMM and get started. You can either add transitions between the videos or fade them onto each other.

You can also edit the sound - add, remove, or narrate over.

You can add titles before, ontop of, and after the video clips. You can also add still photo's to your project.

I have the movie maker in my windows XP.I open it up but just can't see how to put the clips in. My videos are in " My Pictures " When I click on video it asks for the file name. Where do i get the file name.

On the left under 'capture video' click on 'import video' and navigate to your 'my pictures' folder to select them.

OK I'm back , I finally got videos in the movie maker but there is no sound. The sound was very good on them so what did i do wrong. Also how do I put them on CD ?

what type of file are the videos? Some file types do not work with WMM.

We have one camera that has QuickTime video - and that does not work with WMM.

File formats supported by Windows Movie Maker in Windows XP

Looks like you need to re-encode the video or audio by using Windows Media Encoder, and then import the video or audio.

Note The MPEG2 format has several codecs that are not supported by Windows Movie Maker. Even if you have downloaded and installed these codecs on your computer, files in the MPEG2 format may not work in Windows Movie Maker or may cause other problems. Converting the MPEG2 format to another compatible format may work for most MPEG2 files. However, some MPEG2 codecs include copy protection schemes that will prevent you from converting the file.
