Sometimes a photo — or in Houzz’s case, nearly 9 million photos — can’t tell a complete story. That’s when the power of video comes in. This year Houzz sent its video crew to all corners of the U.S. to capture compelling stories of real people living in one-of-a-kind homes.
As a send-off to our year of coverage, and as a benchmark for what’s to come, we compiled an Oscars-style highlight reel. From an Ojai, California, woman living in 140 square feet to a Missouri woman raising 400 geese, from a man with a 250,000-piece Lego collection to a Michigan couple with their own miniature train, here are some of our favorite video moments of 2015.

I agree with Sandra: Watching these videos is like opening a gift. You are amazing in that you catch the extraordinary essence of a place that is truly interesting. Thank you!
How hard would it be to provide a link to the full video for each of the featured homes at the end of the summary? I mean really, that's a big omission. I would dearly like to revisit some of these homes again, but I see no trace of how to do that in this video. By the way, the full FLW home video was the best short videos I've seen in a long. long time.. Kudos to the producer and videographer.
