Update on the egg explosion: My thanks to Dan and Sandy, who have kindly offered to take some of the eggs. It seems there are few host plants in my area because mama pipevine(s) continue to lay more and more eggs, even though there are few leaves to feed the little cats once they hatch. If I pinch off the vines to remove the eggs, I'll quickly have no vines, which will defeat the purpose of growing them. Can I safely remove the eggs without pinching off the vines to which they're attached? What if the eggs hatch while in route to a foster home? I sent some to Sherry and although they arrived safely, Sherry reported the leaves on the vine were crispy. I did wrap the cutting end in a plastic baggie with moisture but it didn't keep the leaves from drying out. I've ordered six more vines, which should be here the end of this week, but of course, they will take a while to settle in and begin growing, assuming they will even grow much this year. Yesterday I transplanted my little Aristolochia fimbriata - White Veined Hardy Dutchman's Pipevine plants I started from seed this year and there's already eggs on those tiny plants this morning! Sometimes it is really hard to completly uninstall something. You probably still have a registry entry and when you reinstall the game - it takes you back to where you where. Its like when you download a free preview of a game, and when that has expired - you can't just re-download the game, even if you have uninstalled it. You can edit your registry to remove it - but DON'T unless you are an expert - you can really mess things up. :) I am not above searching for "cheats" online to win a game - LOL!

I think that I'd go out to speak to the man about the danger in an attempt to get him to stop without official action. Probably ask him how long he thought it might be till his kid got seriously injured, or, quite likely, killed ... a week ... or a month? And tell him of the legal situation and how he was having his children violate the law ... but that it was he that was the violator. And if he refused to listen to reason, tell him that I felt it my duty to notify the police, so not to be surprsed if they showed up. I guess that I prefer to attempt to have things work well in the community by taking action on an individual and community basis before getting oficialdom involved, when possible.
