hello again.. have ie,widows 7,HP d1660 printer.

can't find answer to the fact that it only copies first page.

any help would be appreciated,

1. I presume you mean that it only prints the first page (not "copies")?
2. What are you trying to print (Word document, pdf, etc.)?

really anything that might be useful. yes, I am talking about the first page only.

Took me a little time to figure out that I had to highlight the name of the printer, then right click on it in order to get the, "Set as default printer." words to show, but I finally got it. Thanks again!

Do you have a program that you used to create a card? If yes...WHAT IS IT??? Or are you using a web site as yet unidentified to create a card? If yes...WHICH WEB SITE??? Are you using only the programs that come with Windows to create your card? If yes....WHICH PROGRAMS??? Are you otherwise able to print other text or pictures yes/no? Which printer??? XP...Vista...Win7...Win8...it WOULD help to know.

Without knowing how many $ you have tied up in cartridges on hand vs the price of the refurb printer, your plan is still a bit of a gamble. Depending on where the refurb is coming from, you're getting something that someone else has used for several years. I'd be hesitant, especially if there is no warranty. Are you wanting an identical printer because the old one was so good, or because you were comfortable with your ability to use it? If the former, an identical model is no guarantee of the same quality. If the latter, a new printer shouldn't be that difficult to learn, and you might find a deal (especially now) that would offset what you'll be losing on the old cartridges. You don't mention which OS you are using, but there are still many new printers available that have drivers for both XP & Vista. Do some shopping if you haven't already. I bought a cheap point-and-shoot digital camera last year, and it came with an excellent Epson printer-scanner-copier that was free.

Yes a reinstall would be the first step. A basic Google search provided a link to the HP Forums regarding the recommended uninstall of your prior AIO. I have tagged it below. I also found this. You would have to decide if it is relevant to your concern. Did the printer ever work properly?
Did you install it according to instructions from HP?

HP can be very specific in how the printer is installed, usually you insert the Cd and follow along without connecting the porinter until advised to do so.

Does your printer bring up a window similar to mine? If so note on the left side there are options to print all or specific pages.

Do you have a 'Properties' button to click and check various options?

you press ctrl + p and there are setting copy options

Yikes, I would presume ttech to be span after looking at his "useful" link, but I am not going to click on it as it certainly does not look like it would a good thing!

Hi all.......................decided to have an experienced
person come to my house and clear up any problems.
From what I have read on forums, the problems I am
encountering are endemic to this printer. Thanks so
