I don't think I'd want to try it. Be afraid the napkin would jam in the printer or if it's 2 ply, would come apart. Might depend on the quality of the napkin. Not familiar with your printer but I don't think my HP PhotoSmart P1000 would pull a napkin. Imprinting on napkins is usually done with a foil heat stamp machine. How about getting a rubber stamp made, they have inkpads in all kinds of colors now. If you get brave and it works in the printer, let us know. Jill

I'll elaborate more on what I'm trying to do so it'll make more sense. I schedule appointments for technicians to go out and make repairs. Have to use pencil in the appointment book due to so many changes. At the end of the day, I have to make a photocopy of the appointment page and then fax that to the techs for the next day. Appt page will not fit in fax machine, too big, so I fold it, copy one side and then copy the other side. This was not a problem with my other printer but I have gotten a new computer and printer and now this one doesnt seem to print the hand written text as dark as my other one did. I can't find anywhere on the printer to adjust the settings to make it print darker. Thanks for your help.

So why not ignore the parts of your current printer you do not need and use the rest? There is not much of a market for used printers, unless you already have a buyer of course. Buying another while you have a useable one seems odd. Watch for sales, just a couple of weeks ago there were some Canons on sale for under $40. No idea where now but it was a great deal at the time and with the depressed economy bargains will pop up occasionally. There are 83 here, all between $50 and $100. Notice the 'Reviews'? click on any row of stars to read the reports of actual users to aid your search. I personally like HP or Canon. In a thread a few weeks ago a couple of users spoke highly of recent Lexmarks so perhaps they have smartened up somwhat.

I have the same 3 in 1 printer. When you scan, it asks the destination, select File and then hit the button with the right arrow - this displays a list of computers that are connected to your WLAN. Your DH's name is probably the first on on the list, and yours the second. Down arrow to your computer name and then hit OK.
