I LOVE my mouse, in fact my original one started to do some strange things but it was still working so I ordered me another one so in case it died I would not be with out one. My carpal tunnel has not bothered me in ages since I moved to that mouse, I was at the point of having to have surgery it was so bad and now the doc says it is moderate and does not need surgery. I know it can flare up again so I am really careful about how I hold and use my hands and elbows.

I was perusing Amazon to read some customer reviews on this mouse and, as expected, most people really like it. Some had complaints of different 'intensities.' Some didn't like the fact that there is apparently no place for one's pinky, so you're dragging it along the desk/mousepad all the time. One said the material on the grip should have more traction to it. One said he needed to use a padded mousepad because a hard one made the cursor 'jiggle.' One said he wished it required less pressure for a left-click.

I suppose all these are things to consider, esp. when spending more money on a mouse than usual. But obviously, everyone's mileage varies here, since many were thrilled with it. :-)

One question: one reviewer said he liked the Evoluent vertical mouse better. Well, I'm going to look at the pros & cons (and positive and negative reviews) for both of them, but I thought I'd ask here: Has anyone here tried this Evoluent one to know how it stacks up (or doesn't) to the Wow Pen model ?

I have not owned an evoluent but I did try one and did not like it as well as the wow pen.When I decided to go with the vertical style mouse I did major work on figuring out which one to go with, my research and time paid off.

I have NONE of the complaints listed, If you have a really big hand maybe the pinky would be an issue not at all for me.
This mouse has a rubbery soft material on the area where your fingers go which provides a very good grip I love the feel of it.I have never used a mouse pad with mine on my desk which is a laminate wood type surface it glides fine and I have never seen a jiggle?? I would wonder what kind of surface they were trying to operate on.
The impression may be that it takes more pressure for a left click but in reality it does not it is due to the way your finger is on the button, on a regular mouse you are pressing straight down with your finger on this mouse you are more pressing down while your finger is in a side ways position just like it is when shaking hands. I have really bad arthritis in my hands and fingers and I do not have any problem using it, in fact I have a hard time when I have to use someones mouse that is the regular kind now.
I have no idea what they mean by intensities???

Personally I do not feel the price of this mouse is high, any good quality product is going to cost close to this price, I have found it for a range of prices so be sure you do look and search, I found it for multiple prices on amazon alone.

I am sure not every person is happy I can tell you from myself and my husband we will not be using a regular mouse again, I have purchased 4 of these and every single one has been excellent. The fact that I have gone from having to wear a brace on my hand and arm at all times to not having to wear one at all and all I did was change my mouse is worth so much more than I paid for these mice.

the prices are hugely different between the wow pen and the evoluent, wow pen is in the $20-30 range and the evoluent is in the $80-90 and up range. the wow pen was the least expensive of all the vertical mice I researched.

I've been checking mouses (mice?) everywhere, hoping see how one of these feel before buying. Also checked out all the reviews and videos.

I finally paid $28.88 including $4. shipping just before Christmas from Geekmart.com on Amazon. It seemed reasonable compared to the other ergonomic ones--and the base of my thumb hurt. Looks like they've gone up a bit. Trackball was $45. at Best Buy last April and I've got it packed away.

In the package with my mouse was an add for other products. This one looks like the next generation of Joy Mouse. Really nice. All the hand contact parts of JM, shorter, and comes in sizes (I'd like it smaller) and left handed models. Expensive, but I'll keep my eye on it.

I know about the jiggle, even though I'm using a padded mouse pad. Kind of weird to see it walking around sometimes with nobody touching it, but I made a couple of changes in my mouse settings and its much more stable now. Plus its plugged into the front of computer and was probably feeling vibrations.

you mean that handshoe mouse? It has been out a while because that was the first one that got me looking I saw it on some tv show and had to go find it online, from there I began my search for the verticals and ended with the wow pen.
I have never had any kind of jiggle, but mine plugs into my KVM switch that is on my desktop not into my pc not sure if that would make any difference. All of mine have been very solid and steady. My husbands plugs right into his laptop and does not jiggle either.

I did have a mini laptop wireless mouse at one time that did the moving on it's own which is strange but I think it was because it was so light weight.

Yes, the handshoe mouse. It didn't come up in my ergonomic searches so I thought it was new--or maybe the price blocked it from my sight?.

I wonder if the jiggle is mouse specific--some do and some don't. Mine just walked up the screen to the top while I was typing this. No problem. I always know where to find it. Not like a wandering puppy.

you might go into your mouse settings in control panel and try adjusting the mouse settings sometimes that can help control a wandering mouse, the speed and motion controls.

Also could your mouse cable be on something that vibrates or it gets caught on? Mine was suddenly acting strange one day and I could not figure out what was wrong, turns out my cleaning lady had decided to clean my desk when I was not sitting at it and had moved the mouse and the cord was tangled with my speaker cords and was making it pull.
